Bush said it would cost $75 billion dollars for this war. CNN says the tax payers will have to pay 100% of the cost. Damn, us younger members will be paying for this war forever. But I guess the war is necessary. Hope it is all justified in the end.

 

I wouldn't worry about it too much. It will probably be financed through treasury bonds rather than out of tax revenue. Even so all the government has to do if it wants 75 billion dollars is to print 75 billion dollars. Little upwards tick in the money supply and some extra inflation. Not going to go bankrupt or anything (people worry about this for some reason). This war is doing/has done FAAAAAR more damage to the economy than it will Washington's pocket book.
