I dont get it this is the most informative place for protege owners but at any time i'm on here there are like 5 members online and 12 guests. Why not join nothing to lose but your dignity sometimes if you say something stupid like "where do i add my alternator fluid???"..etc. But even then its just a few friendly insults. Anybody want to add anything????

its just weird and disturbing i was hoping i wasnt the only one thinking this.

 

WEll alot of people use this site for one piece of info that they maybe searched google for and got a thread on this site. I was interested in protege's on top of having a few simple questions so i joined, others might not have the need to.

 

but if you pay attention to the ip addresses its the same people a lot of the time.

 

They may be dumb and ask the same question and forget the answer, because we have such an endless fountain of information it overwelmes them..

 

That and if you look at the who's online page a lot of the "guests" are trying to view member profiles isnt that a little fishy maybe its just me.

 

the people viewing member prfiles are some sort of scamming program that acquires and seeks out email addresses and names and stuff.....pisses me off to no end.

 

me too i get a ton of spam email, thank god for spam blockers

lol, but one thing I have noticed, even though Im still fairly new here, is some of these "lurkers" seem to be joining, but a growing problem seems to be two year old posts coming back from the dead and you know its the new people because join date is this month and they have 1 or 2 posts....

 

you aren't that new but yeah its just weird isnt it you look in the who's online and one guest is moderating some are reading threads(thats fine),others are trying to view profiles or edit posts.

 

now if this thread gets more people to join then it's done its job but if lurkers read it and try to hack profiles or something then well that just sucks but it's great to see people joining everyday and the tally of members is huge lets just hope they don't abuse their privliges(wow i dont sound like a high schooler saying that, i'm scared now)
