Any computer hardware experts here? I need some somem advice on my monitor.

My monitor makes a buzzing sound, everytime the screen displays alot of white. But when I get to a page with less white the buzzing lessens and eventually is non existent when the page is all black or some other color.

Does anyone know the problem of this? The monitor is a Samsung SyncMaster 955DF model, it's a CRT with two Monsoon speakers placed at it's side.

Could it be some elctrmomagnetic radiation?

Any advice is appreciated.

every tv and monitor make that buzzing noise. some are just better at shielding it than others. Not everybody can hear it either. Personally it drives me crazy

anyway, try lowering the refresh rate

I second that..LOL

But try lowering the refresh, or resolution. Or just replace it. There's not much you can do w/ a faulty monitor as they're really hard to repair/fix. Most shops will just tell u to buy a new one anyways. I would recommend Viewsonic or anything w/ a Sony Trinitron tube inside.

I bought a cheap-*** AOC 19" flat-crt for about $200, and it's awesome. A HUGE step up from my previous shitty 17" .26dpi peice of garbage.

If lowering the resolution and refresh rates don't work, buy a new one. It would cost you almost as much to repair as it would be to buy a new, nicer one. Just MO though
