Anyone into Nitro onroad?

I was just wondering if anyone here races nitro onroad. 1/10 scale. I talked to a guy at Proline racing and they plan on releasing a 1/10 Mazdaspeed Protege body soon. That will be cool as a fan! Anyway, I thought id let you know. Also, I have a formula for making your own simulated disc brake rotors if interested................Duncan

I got a Serpent Impulse Streetspec and a Tamiya TL-01...as for a Mazdaspeed body, I'd probably buy a few, one for show and a few to beat on...

I used to be into 1/10th scale off road racing, but gave it up a few years ago...Still not sure why, its a lot cheaper than actual car racing...

Hell yes its expensive when youre rollin an HPI product! lol. I dont roll anything but AE TC3. That has to be the absolute best 1/10 on road. And yes, the body is 200mm. If you do get one, get the TC3. Even if you get the RTR its still an awsome car out of the box. I was able to get the kit @ $289. It comes with all the racing hop-ups aluminum cvd s all graphite etc........ I put on a BIG HEAD Mugen and its pretty mean. I think its like 1.2 or 1.3 HP.

I've got a traxxas nitro 4-tec 2.5, constantly needing parts as it's been crashed alot at high speed.

At least the parts are cheap.

Did you know that you can put in the new Sirio 18? it will fit in pretty easy. You can go to Traxxas.com and click on message board for tons of info. ( if you didnt already know)....................................Duncan

TC3s are sick

i wish i got one instead of getting that nitro rs4 2

the rs4 had a couple of screws that seized to the parts they were fitted into and i gave up and said screw it since the O.S. engine was being an *** anyways

I have an XXT graphite plus truck with a bunch of hopups and now a p2k motor. i used to have a reedy 12 turn but it was too high maintenance so i said screw it once again

It's expensive because you get into the hopping up thing. Damn that TC3 sounds awesome... the engine I have in the car is a O.S. CVR 1hp.. I may be selling the car though , not sure, i put a new chassis(once again forgot the company--aftermarket) and have some coilover shocks, starter box, as motor in non pull start, 2 speed, custom rear brace, fm radio...
I was buying stuff at like a mile a minute till I decided to swap my motor in

I have T maxx and theyre okay. Theres alot of weak spots though. Mainly the bulk heads. And if you get aluminum bulks, chassis tabs shear pretty easy too. I really like the HPI savage. The .21bb is pretty crappy stock. Swap later to a .247 and you got a bad *** truck.
