Automatic Dilemma - HELP!

Ok, here's the situation: my 1992 Camry LE is sitting outside of my garage, and I have to move it into the garage. The problem though is moving it. The tranmission does not work, so even if I could start the car, it would not help. Being an automatic, it is in 'Park', so the wheels are essentially locked. If I did start the car, I would not be able to turn it off in 'Neutral', only in 'Park' so that would be useless. Any suggestions to move the car? I really need to move it ASAP, so any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you VERY much!

Well in my protege you can just 'knock' it down to neutral if u do it hard enough. Or if you gather a bunch of friends im sure brute force could move that beast.

Lift the front tires with a floor jack and roll it wherever you need to go. It is a little dangerous, you have to be very careful not to drop the car. Worked great for a Grand Prix that we stripped the front end off of in Auto Tech.

turn the key to on (not start), put it in neutral and push it. You need the steering wheel unlocked anyway to steer it.

Awesome, thanks guys! I will try your suggestions. Now to get the battery hooked up... I just wanted to be safe because there is no oil in the engine or an intake assembly connected.

When I went up to try and fix it, I found out there is a shift lock override button! Wow does that make life easier...does that come standard on automatics? I haven't seen it before. Does the Protege have one?

Some Mazda's do, I've seen older 626's with them.
