basketball season

well as you know b-ball season started tonight.......this is the only sport i like.....anyway who is everyone team, considering you even like basketball....i am from PA...so you know i roll with the sixers..........they got beat tonight by minnesota, but they only lost by 9 without having Iverson, Mckie, and Snow...so not too shabby, and DC played very well for not being around the team too long...good trade IMO.........well who you routing for?

kinda screwed with my picks...i used to like the pistons when they had the bad boys...anyone here born yet when they played? sorry, i'm gettin' old. but i am more of a player fan, so wherever they go, i guess that's the team i like. SO, here it is:

1) Grant Hill/Tracy MacGrady (Orlando)
2) Used to like the Pistons and the Hornets (but they're shooting themselves in the foot right now...)

G. Hill and T. Mac! Yeah!!!

btw, they killed Toronto tonight (sorry to all you canadiens on the board)

It's all rite, I hate the Raptors anyways........ well okay, I kinda like them, but ONLY because they're Canadian, and damnnnn I hate Memphis, I hope they lose every single freakin game. I always hated Jordan, so naturally I know that Wizards won't make the playoffs, but I love the Kings with two Yugoslavians on their team, Mike Bibby from Vancouver Grizzlies now there and C-Webb, the man, the legend hehehe, they're my team!!!!

Oh yeah, I like Phoenix too with Stephon Marbury

Shawn Kemp used to be my favourite player before..... Always liked Stackhouse and Ray Allen......

Go Kings Go!!!!

I was watching then, and I hated the Pistons! I'm a loyal Bulls fan being that I live in the Chicago area. I'm now patiently paying the price for all the sucess we had in the 90's.

wow eric, you're old...LOL loyal bulls fan? maybe you can shed some light on why the hell management decided to break up the team? i never liked the bulls, but i couldn't deny the dynasty. they were bad, and had at least 1 or 2 more championships left in them (maybe more?) but they didn't resign jackson (who instead gives LA 2 rings...) forcing jordan, pippen and rodman out of the pic. wtf???

makaveli, you're a hooptie i see. the kings are dope. cwebb's da man! okay, so who's gonna come out of the west? the east? think cwebb and co. can get past shaq and kobe? dammit, the west is stacked...

go orlando!

hey eric, for what it's worth, you guys did okay in the draft, but i don't know if i would've given up my #1 elton brand...but hey, you guys got some nice young talent.

omigod. a gator fan??? heh/heh, you guys always seem to give duke rubs. i guess their playing style is so similar. yeah, i am a dookie. they are one of the premier programs in the country, but being a fan isn't easy cause nobody likes them. when they lose, everyone at the courts has a field day with me. luckily, they don't lose very often

college picks? anyone?

anyone here an illini fan? can you tell me why they are pre-season #2 behind my blue devils?

mp4life, how was the game??? As for the Kings, I honestly believe that they can beat LA, and are the only team besides the Spurs that can win it all besides LA. Can't wait to watch Hill & T-Mac playing together in Orlando, but is one ball going to be enough for them there?

I'm a huge hoops fan, but I stopped playing for about a year now

Stackhouse had some niceeee dunks two days ago

And the problem with the Bulls, you can't build a team with JUST rookies with tons of talent. Grizzlies were an excellent example for 6 years and counting....

true dat, makaveli! the grizzlies suck! have sucked and always will! and that was a really good move to get rid of their BEST player (abdur-rahim). great management skills. LOL idiots.

hill is not a ball hog and doesn't need 20 shots/game, altho surely capapble of that, so they should be fine. honestly, orlando is still one player short of eastern champ contenders.

sac-town and the lakers? i hate the lakers! but they are good yup, the kings should be able to take 'em.

my observation: in the last decade, you need 2 solid guys and a big step-up 3rd to win it all.
shaq/kobe/fisher (******)
shaq/kobe/fox (that ***! )
duncan/robinson/elliot
mike/pippen/rodman
hakeem/drexler/horry

you don't have that, and you have no chance. AND, you can't have too many either (damn blazers!) so who's it gonna be this year?

Orlando is actually pretty close, I always liked Bo Outlaw and Lil' Penny hehe, now with Tracy and Hill......... don't know..... they're right up there with the best in the East, however whoever comes out of the West is going to win it all......

How come nobody's talking about the Blazers this year?

I'm more into college ball. I have not had time to look at the teams yet this year but I'm a Uconn fan. Any of the Big East Team I like to keep an eye on.

yeah, the west is strong (AGAIN!). too bad tho, cause i really like the magic. the blazers? the poor man's Lakers? actually, they have a better chance this year than the last 3 or so. they got rid of some of the baggage and should be a bit stronger as the season moves on. imo, they had too many stars, but should be okay now.

my teams from the west? (not saying they're gonna win it all or anything, just exciting to watch)
clippers, sac-town, UTAH (omigod, i use to HATE them!), twolves (the big ticket!)

college is my #1 tho. sorry, the big east has been pretty stable, but can't seem to get over that hump to be steady contenders for a national title (yeah, i know uconn upset my dookies once). the acc stands head and shoulders over nearly everyone, and duke is their flagship! but that frickin' big ten is banging on the acc's door for college supremacy.

hmm, sorry for posting so much, but i am hoops nut!!!

Sacramento Kings, 4-0 to start the season withough C-Webb!!!

Now that is scary..... if you're not a Sacramento fan that is.

To the rest of the league, take notice, Bibby and STojakovic aren't joking around........

indy is another team with solid management skills ( i would never have broken up the davis' let alone trade them! they were one season away from making it work! jackson was too slow at the point, but c'mon now...rose? miller? the davis boys? the flying dutchman? and a benchload of young talent? geez, they took the same management class as the bulls!

sac-town is dope. and when cwebb gets back, look out stupid lakers!

on the college note: any terp fans out there? imo, they are not over-rated. everyone loses, it's just they always seem to lose at the wrong times (when everyone is watching them closely). they have the talent, but lack the heart. they need to step it up if they wanna stay in college hoops' spotlight.
