Batman Begins--You have my blessings
What a great movie. I loved the fact they built up to his transformation so slowly. It really gave you a good sense of who really loved him and was there to support him. It also REALLY touched upon what motivates and drives him. Every action is thought out.... he's not impulsive. He's calculating. He plans ahead. He has all the angles covered.
I caught myself several times with arms outstretched holding up the " \m/ " sign with my hands. This movie rocked on everything it did......except one area. The fight scenes were so quick and abrupt you couldn't get a sense of what was going on. You'd hear a noise, see the cape whoosh, catch a fist tag an eye and then the cap flying up into the air with bodies on the ground. They used this type of film style to impress upon how mysterious he was....what was that...etc. It works but for action buffs like me I'd like to see his ninjitsu training pay off a little more like Keaneu in the Matrix series.

Dude..I went and saw it after gobbling down a Jerk Chicken Calzone at the Mellow Mushroom. The movie was definitley on point and the open-ended ending was perfect. Man oh man!
2 thumbs up from me!

it looks like this batman goes against the storyline and events in the other movies. he introduces himself in the 1st Batman, he was unknown in the beginning of the movie, and he gives them the bat signal at the end. then again harvey dent was played by billy dee williams and tommy lee jones replaced him in Batman Forever. my friend saw it and loved it, so i think we're gonna see it soon.

i think it should be noted for those not really into comic books that this Batman story was mre accurate than any other to date.
Bruce Wayne's parents were NOT killed by Joker...they were killed by a "faceless" criminal. Bruce can't remember seeing a face...thats why he associates all crime with his parents death.
Harvey Dent was white in the comics and was Bruce Wayne's best friend growing up. He became a powerful ally when Batman first appeared since Dent was the D.A. When Dent was trying a mob boss for crimes Batman was present as a witness (captor) and the mob boss threw acid in dent's face but batman couldn't stop it so Dent turns on Batman.
Batman was trained as a ninja more than anything else and this movie shows that off in great detail.
All I can say without spoiling anything is that this new movie is VERY accurate in terms of how batman got his start and how he came into contact with certain people.
just fyi, Bruce's relationship to Rachael may lead to his introduction to Harvy Dent in the next movie which has already been green-lit!

thats nice that its more true to the original comics. recent comic-books-turned-movies have deviated a bit from its origins because they werent movie-friendly or too time consuming as far as their complex character history is concerned. but hey we have "wolverine & friends part 3" coming soon which should still be fun to watch.

i highly recommend going to see it in IMAX if you can. a five story screen and 12,000 watts of sound makes the movie a very realistic experience. sit as far in the back as you can though otherwise you'll come out with a stiff neck like i did. i agree with Matty in that it was the most accurate Batman movie to date. I haven't been to a movie since Bad Boys II because nothing interested me. I saw Batman Begins twice this past weekend because it was so good. In fact i would have gone again last night if Sarah would have let me.

who said anything about him getting married? Rachael is the assistant D.A. and childhood friend of Bruce Wayne, played by Katie Holmes (horribly I might ad). They share a french kiss and she shows off her nips in various thin shirts. Other than that she serves no purpose but you HAVE to have a cutesy little girl in a movie who can't wear a bra (against her scientology religion I bet).

p.s. word from my brother (bigger nerd than me) is that Holmes is out of the sequel. Bale, Caine, Freeman are all back as is Oldman. The villains will be Joker and the introduction of Harvy dent as the new DA (just like I predicted!) The third movie is suposed to feature 2 Face and possibly King Tut. The director, Nolan and screen writer are still undecided if they are going to return. Rumor mill says that Nolan (director) didn't like the scripts write all that much. If the script writer returns the director may not.... ruh roh!
