That blackout sucked.

I'm sittin there at work, then I stood up 2 look out the window. Then turned around, next thing I know everyones not sitting down anymore so im thinking WTF is going on lol. I also noticed that the monitors and power was gone. Couldnt tell right away b/c it was very sunny. I was all calm until everyone starting grabbing their bags freaking out and saying let's get out of here thinking it might be some attack again. Then I had 2 sprint down 32 flights of stairs then run in the heat to an overloaded ferry. As soon as I got 2 jersey I had to wait another 45 minutes just to get on a bus home. Thank god I didn't get stranded. But I'm here writing this story b/c there is no power in the building so I'm staying home. I thought I'd just share my little story with u guys.

Yeah, this blackout was fun. I was driving home on the NYS Thruway when it happened, and have to get off exit 16, which is home to the largest and busiest outlet mall in the country. Try getting through 5 stoplights that don't work with about 500 cars and at least 400 are foreigners who don't have a clue what to do. W/E though, I did what any american would do, hit up the gas station for a couple 18 packs before they stopped selling them and got really drunk with a few people. It was kind of funny to see how people really can't handle themselves without technology. An eye-opener. And pretty exciting knowing I was around for the largest blackout in U.S. History.

I know there were alot of people affected by this, but I feel bad for New Yorkers especially. You guys keep getting it right up the ***! New York IMHO has turned into a good place to be FROM, not a good place to go to. I will never visit there. Someone please send me a nice ballcap and a shot glass please? Wonder what this will do to the "great" economy this time? Anymore, a dog poo's in the road and we loose everything.

the blackout was crazy, I was at work when it happened and everything shut down ..
Then when I got off work it was like crazy trying to drive in the streets. It really makes you appreciate stop lights , because you have so many Jerk-offs that don't realize that there is an intersection and they don't stop .. They just whizz right through like asswhipes.

But once home everything was cool .. My family was ok and that is what counted .

Thats wassup, even with all this crazy stuff going down there was still tons of fun to go down. Everyone came outside. Girls everywhere, people throwing pennies from of the 39 th floor. People took there boom boxes out play old Nas classics, and some new girl called Conya Doss
AHHHHHHH SHYT had me doing the C-Walk across the basketball court.
LOL Let me shut up
I jumped in my ride and turned on the AC and played playstation 2 Hahahahahahaha
Max Payne is fun !

My family protected the ride because everyone was eye'ing my baby ( Protege 5 ) Knowing they wanted to lute it so bad. But after i heard my Uncle cuss from the top floor that the water stopped working as well because some motor pushed it to the top floor i was like its time to bounce. It hurts to run mad flights of steps. But its all good but i got my *** out of NY after once i exposed the Tv's in the ride it was time to go back to Maryland.

Traffic was all backed up .... But lucky i joined the few crazy people that drove the shoulder.

Thats Wassup !!!!!!!!!!

Nas not Classic ,, what are you talking about..
You don't remeber when his original name was NASTY NAS ....

-----------------
on another note

Last night I had to drop a co-worker home .. So while driving through the Bronx, it seemed like everybody and their mother was outside. I mean like every block I passed through ...
I went through gun hill , down paulding by east 214 and what not ... mad people outside. not to mention over by Webster. Shawn knows the area ... there were like tons of people .. but you know what ... NO LOOTING ..
so for all the, "nyc is gonna loot" comments you can stuff em cause we had much more class than that..
we know how some of yall think ..

I barely know of him as NAS man. I am not a big hip hop fan. I never really got the whole genre. But maybe it's cause I'm old and I grew up in the days of grunge??

Flanels or Cartigans anyone??

how long was your power actually out? i find this absolutly ridiculous that you guys (americans) blow this WAY outta porportion, bigist black out ever? wtf comon ive had no power to my house for 3 days in the ice storm a few years back and cnn didnt stomp down my door for an interview

yes its sad that people have to suffer in the heat and yes its a big inconveince, but why are you calling it the great blackout of 2003, i mean wtf?! us canadians dont really care, "meh the powers out lets drink the beer before it gets warm"

its just an power outtage and everyone got thro it fine, no biggie you got power now, well to a degree

i dunno i find that the media have nothing else to report on so they blow this way out of porportion to make it seem bigger than it is

True...A miracle for NBC news. If someones daughter doesn't get kidnapped, they don't have any interesting stories to report.

I was just stating the facts, according to all the papers. I didn't say the longest blackout, I said the biggest, meaning most widespread. And good for you for going 3 days, and the reason cnn didn't stomp down your door is b/c they don't give a sh#t about you. "You guys (americans)" as you put it, didn't blow this out of proportion, the media did, so don't stereotype us. And you would care when you live 30 mins from a city where it is a central target for terrorism and half your country loses power. And I would like to see where you can say that we are calling it the great blackout of 2003, i don't see that anywhere.
