I am so affraid of getting one. I had the first one, and I played Grand Turismo 2 religiously. The day I got it, I haven't slept or eaten for two days. I absolutley love the game. And now that PS2 is only $200, and GT3 A-spec is only $20, I think I am simply going to kill my self. I will not go to work, classes, and ignore the world. I will play and play and play. The same thing happened to me when I bought Dreamcast and Sega GT. I finished the game within a month, and have tried to do that again three time. I am way too addictive to video games. For those who feel like not reading this article, please call me a whaambulance.

I sold my PS2 inorder to get the XBOX....best move I ever did.

 

I have seen PS2, though only with one game GT3 A-spec. Though never experienced from X-BOX games. From the people who used both, can you tell which one is a better game console. I mean actual games and controllers. I do not care for DVD, or USB ports. Thanks.

 

in terms of controllers, I prefer the PS2 controller because 1. it's smaller and fits in my hand more comfortably, and 2. it's the same layout as PS1's, so no fumbling around learning where all the buttons are.

Xbox's controller is BIG! I had to consciously stretch out my fingers to hit some buttons, not sure if I want to do that for extended periods of time

in terms of games available, I played a little bit of Halo on Xbox, that's one cool game! Gotham racing is also cool, but it's nowhere near GT3 in terms of realism and complexity and fun!

plus for PS2, you can chip your console and play the thousands of PS2 games already available here and overseas

and you get to play all the PS1 games out there already

 

Well this is my dillema. I have big hands, and I like big controllers, but I like PS2 games better than XBOX. I think I will just by a pretty good (and bigger) PS2 compatible controller and see how it goes.

 

I think the PS2 is designer better than the x box, especially the controller,
sony has cool designers.... although the inside of the x-box may have better specs..... kinda like the reason why I bought the P5, looks is everything, who cares how powerful your engine is if its only for street driving??

but yea, turbonium959, GT3 is so adictive... like especially trying to get all Gold Cups for all the Licences...

GT3 and GTA3 are both like crack, only with a stronger addiction. If you have a PS2 and have not played GTA3, rent it at least. You can pick up hookers take them to a empty spot and the car starts bouncing. They take some of your money and start to leave, but you can get out the car and beat the **** out of them and get your money back!!!!!!! It is ******* great!!!!!!

Oh you can also pop pills on that game.

 

yeah, i've played GT3 a-spec and watched someone play GTA3, i can't wait til i get my first pay check, i'll have a PS2 and both of those games starting out hopefully i can remember to go to work, lol
