Used to be Marlboro Lights. Then I got bladder cancer from smoking 'em and had to quit! Found out the hard way that it just isn't worth it.

Yup, cause all of the toxins in cigarette smoke gets absorbed in the blood, which is cleaned by the kidneys. So you hold all of those carcinogens in your bladder until you **** them out. My doctor warned me for years that this would happen, and I never listened to him. I was always like "yeah, yeah, yeah . . ."

The funny thing is bladder cancer is more common among smokers than lung cancer is, and nobody knows that.

Wow, I did not know that. I've already quite smoking, its been about 2 months since I went cold turkey, but I definately was more worried about lung cancer since I didn't know bladder cancer even existed. Thanks for the info and sorry you had to learn it the hard way.

If you don't smoke don't hate. j/k I know its a bad habit and I've quit, I was just curios as to what other people smoke. I look at it this way, if you smoke you die, if you don't smoke your also gonna die. It all depends on how you get there. Does the end justify the means? Of course not, people who don't smoke have a better quality of life on average.

Wow - it's been quite a while since I posted here.

Figures a smoking topic drags me back.....

I smoke Monarch Lights. It's a generic brand I buy from a local Indian reservation (or online).

Online I get 'em for $16.50 a carton + shipping, and locally for $19.

Figured if I'm gonna smoke, I'm not spending $5+ a pack to do it. Or try $8 in New York City. Ouch. So my wife and I (she smokes Monarchs too) pay about $100/month for cigs - instead of $300-$400.

I'd encourage any smoker to try a carton of a cheap brand - not just one pack. By the end of the carton, you'll be accustomed to them.

The only difference I notice is they smoke slightly faster.

My favorite "splurge" smokes are Dunhill. English cigs - nice flavor. But up to double the price of regular brands.

I know of Dunhill, makes fine cigars as well, also makes quality suits. Very smooth but will cost about $5 in the suburbs up to $7 in the city. I am a Davidoff smoker reguraly, only because I get them cheap and duty free.
