Yeah I saw that thread somewhere else too. Its pretty damn funny. The ricer kicked his ***. And I don't have anything against Civics. They are one of the most reliable, well built cars ever.

 

with my 'super fast' 56K internet connection I waited like 5 mins and still didn't see anything.......all well.......

oh hell. i know as an import guy i should stand shoulder to shoulder with him, but f#ck that! i hate hondas. i don't care for the vette much either, but that was a bogus race. i din't have the time to read it all, but the (i'm assuming stock) vette was no match for the rice-rocket. and i don't know who this MD guy is but he seemed like more mouth than anything else. at least he took his loss like a man...somewhat.

hmmm, but i'll put my brothers '92 'tang up against that honda. even with his nos and ****. he'd need that crap just to keep up.

ah, but it is a trophy for the import boys! altho when MD gets his rematch, i'm sure he'll have his mods up to par. til then mr. honda, you are the weiner...oops, winner.

 

Good to see another 'vette owner get humbled. I like 'vettes but some owners are waaay to cocky.

My wife took out a C5 on the streets. Two lights in a row. A couple of guys in a Jeep chased her down to give her a thumbs up. The 'vette owner turned off after the second loss. Demoralized, I'm sure.

i don't like vettes. but i think he underestimated his opponent which is a big no-no. he'll do better next time bc now he knows, and as we've all heard, knowing is half the battle. (please refer to cartoon thread) anyhoo if he kept up w/the civic, that's pretty good for stock. add his mods and he'll blow the honda. but i'm not a vette lover so i don't care.

 

I don't care for Hondas really, though I have to give credit where credit is due and say that I HAVE seen a few that were pretty tight... I'm just glad that Honda beat the Vette for the simple reason that the Vette owner was talking smack, and when the Honda guy told him to put his money where his mouth was, MD just started talking more smack. Took him like 2 tries to actually get a race out of the guy. All I can say is WTG Honda-guy!

I disagree the egos on that vette forum are too big to describe. When MD posted that he lost it took several posts b4 one of them even acknowledged it. That civic probably raped that C5 yet it doesnt even get a glimmer of respect from a majority of the members on that forum. Credit should be given where credit is due. . .

Just went and caught up on some of the crap going on... I never knew Vette owners were such WHINEY BASTARDS!!!! (most of them) OMG their beautiful expensive cars are outrun by a Civic.!?! Oh no~ the humanity!~ Oh get over it! I'm really dissapointed in their attitudes, they honestly think because the spent $____.__ more on their cars than someone else, that automatically makes them better drivers? Please!
The funniest thing is, the person handling this the best IS MD. The one who got beat. All his other Vette friends won't let it go.
Why can't some ppl just ADMIT that some cars are faster than others, some cars are more expensive, some cars are just better. We're all in the car scene for the same reason. We love cars. We like the way they look. We like to work on them and make them faster. But why put each other down b/c one is faster than another?!?! Just give the guy some props and LET IT GO.
