The coolest cars in the world!

Has anyone ever heard of a company named Holden?

They're only available in Australia, I believe... Their V8 powerplant is a descendant of Chevy's (so is the Vette's)

Holy crap, these cars are insane! Take a look at this model... Keep in mind that it's stock (supercharger, bodykit, mags, low stance [on the black one] and all...)

we can't get that car!!!!

No, sorry, I could'nt find any... First off, these are the HSV (Holden Special Vehicals department) models. Second, I don't think the Aussie companies like to publish their prices the way the american ones do...

I always thought this car to be a ford product. In the races they have for these cars over in austraila they always have ford plastered on them, I thought. Hmm...I found some of these cars awhile back while surfing the web, it was a used car website. I remember thinking to myself what a badass ride this car was. I'll see if I can't find it again.

You could be right. I was going off that Bizob said it had a chevy V8 and after looking at it more. I got kinda of a pontiac feel. but for sure GM or Ford have there hands in this.

I can't remember exactly how much one of these cars costs, but I know it's a reasonable price. When my parents went over to Australia last year my dad came back going on and on about these cars and how they kick *** and aren't very expensive. He was pissed we couldn't even get anything comparable to them in the US.

No, trust me, the cars above are made by Holden... You're refering to the V8 supercars Shell championship. There are also Ford Falcons in this series (Which can have Frod plastered all over them in some cases)

This is a list of links to the teams participationg in the series

This is the Ford Falcon you had the Holden confused with:

These are some more Holdens in race trim:

this one is the Holden factory team livery

this one is an independant team..

Here is a nice pic that shows the differences between the Holden (left) and the Ford (right)...

It's easy to differenciate them when you follow the series, but they're obviously very similar...

If you all like these cars, you should check out the BTCC ... The cars are more varied (and look more like some cars we get here) and the drivers and the racing is the best in the world (equal to F1)

Holy ****!! you're absolutely right!!!!!

I think I've just discovered my next project car!

It's just too bad I won't be able to buy one new... It seems GM has discontinued the Catera in favor of the upcomming CTS. They used to be made about 20 minutes from my house... Not anymore!

Guess I might have to stick with Mazda... When they bring the RX7 back here, I'll start a new project car...
