Crazy Day Today!

Crazy Day Today!
There were light showers today and naturally everything was wet.
I was driving to my work, and as I took the off-ramp off of Hwy 85 to get onto El Camino Real. I lost traction and slid off the off-ramp and landed into some bushes, like a yard away from a huge tree. My whole front end was buried in mud, but thankfully nothing was messed up (other than a few scratches on my already messed up bumper). I tried to get out but I couldn't... The Pro would just sit idle and spin one tire like there was no tomorrow. I said, "No big deal, my boss has a truck, he'll pull me out." So I called him and he came like 10 minutes later. As he was about to pull me out, a Lancer came along, and somehow flew off the off-ramp, catching air, and landed in the bushes next to me. At the same time, a truck, just entering the exit, sees the Lancer, slams his brakes, and hits the divider between the off-ramp and the freeway.
At the same time, a BMW and some other car that I don't remember, see what's happening and they fly off the off-ramp (on the other side of me and the Lancer, thankfully).
Nobody's hurt, but now there's 4 cars buried in mud, thanks to the rain.
Everybody was allright. So, we got on the road again and as we got onto the street, we see another 2 cars, on the on-ramp to get ON Hwy 85, just lying in the bushes.
To top it all off, my friend came over about 20 minutes ago to pick some CDs up, and he told me he'd rear ended somebody on his way here. His whole front end was fucked up, and his driver's door wouldn't open.
So far we're 8-0 for the rain
Be careful out there. Just because you can take a turn at 60 mph in dry weather doesn't mean you can take it at 40 when it's wet. I thought 40 was slow enough, but obviously not

(Most) Californians don't have much rain driving experience...they don't really know the difference that it makes... I saw a Dodge Durango going by at about 85.... arrogant because they think their SUV makes them safer in the rain
Just imagine if by some freak of nature it snowed here...

Have you gone without rain for a while? Apparently when it hasn't rained for a while, and then does it's really slick because it brings the oil on the road to the surface in an attempt to wash it away or something. That's what I've heard anyway.

It hadn't rain in at least 2 months, and this happened like 30-40 minutes after it started raining, JUST when the oil had come up and made the roads nice and slick
It was fun, once I realized no one was hurt. Ever been offroading in a Protege?
