Woohoo, spent yesterday at the junkyard, got lotsa cool ****! schrounging around in the mud is fun.... haha

First off we spent over an hour looking through the nissans, as i needed lots of little stupid parts (well, wanted atleast) first was to find the center console from a NX1600 or NX2000, as it is a bolt up for my se-r... which has no armrest or cubby. After a while we finally found one and all the parts PIMP ****! talk about sweet, those things are hard as hell to find, and usually cost $100+, i got mine in perfect condition for 5 bucks... haha

sweet ****, so moving on, we walked over to the LARGE amount of wrecked mitsus and mazdas... damn where to start, i went off into the mazdas, he went int eh mitsus...... first thing that caught my eye... A BLUE MP3..... ahhhh well i ran like a little school girl i wanted pedals, shifter, etc etc, well all the main parts i wanted were already picked over, except the cd pocket which was still cool, picked that up for later use (or sale, pm me with a price if you want it). so that was disappointing otherwise, no other cool parts. though the rear seats were still there if anyone wants them.

spent a little time and got a set of 2nd gen rx7 seats and a ecu out of a 88 fc3s... for a friends 1st gen gsl-se (now ridin with a 88 6 port engine). also my friend found lots of cool parts in the mitsus, he has a 91 GS-T, made him get a 2nd gen shift **** (great mod imo, keeping the stock look) also he got some trim pieces and a new cluster (his tach doesnt work) but then his best find of the day... a new front bumper already go go for a fmic (not much diffrent, just already shaved) with a nice large FMIC behind it...... an hour of disconnecting **** we got the bumper off (10 bucks.... whoa) and all the piping out and disconnected (5 bucks for pipes) and the intercooler out (20bucks.... he says its a spearco today last i talked to him... after it was cleaned) BOH YAH


So that was probably a good way to blow a little bit of my paycheck, i must say! commin home with a muddy trunk of **** was cool but once cleaned everything looked brand new


oh btw, if anyone wants any parts off a 1st gen, or a 99-00, or 3rd gen protege... ask me they have lots of them.... also any se-r parts i can get too

Years ago, when I had a very rusty old '79 VW Scirocco, I went looking for some fenders. I found an '81 in a junkyard, with NO RUST on it, and with a factory sunroof (which mine didn't have) but a bad engine. I took the fenders and the doors, and put them on my car. Two months later, my frame cracked, and the car became unsafe to drive. I went back to the junkyard, hoping to buy the rest of the car, and planning to swap out my good engine into the rust-free shell, and found it had been crushed just a few days before. I almost cried....

 

hey 5speed, can you see if they have a manual driver side mirror for a 2000 Protege, must be manual.

also, see if there are any spoilers for cheap, preferably a blue one. And if there is a stock shift ****, either color for the 3rd gen, in good condition.

 

Hey andrew how many 1st gens did you come across. also any mx-3's. how about a rx7 vaf. hmmm anything else?? better yet i will just call u.

 

See if you can get the stock mp3 shifter for around $30.

Hey, see if you can get a couple of the hog plug type clips that go on the rear dash. (They are right behind the top of the rear seats) When I put my Eibachs on I lost one of those damn things and now my car has a clunk from the rear dash when it rubs together. ( Or maybe I should leave it like that and tell people it's and MP3!!) Sorry, couldn't resist!! And a 3rd generation windshield would be nice too.

 

The junkyard is where I go to relax. It is a peacefull place where I can get out all of my aggression. Thanks god for them brother!!!!

 

i would be interested in getting most or all of the interior panels from any third gen, preferably manual with power windows.

THE SILVER SURROUND that goes around the window switches, and power mirror control...

if ANYONE has this piece, i NEED IT ASAP!!!
