Does the word/term dating infer exclusivity?
#2
No, but after a while it should become exclusive. Saying you're "dating" someone doesn't inheirently mean exclusivity, however, saying someone is your "b/f, g/f, fiancee, husband or wife" should!

yes. when ur "dating", ur referring to an on-going union.
when u date, that's just a singular action with no ties.

I agree with onehawaiian. If you say me and so n so are dating it means continuous, which can lead into being exclusive. Unless you tell your bf/gf first that we will date, but not be exclusive, then dating or seeing someone means just that. Just ONE.
