man these are cool:

65 bucks for a "HID CONVERSION KIT 95-02 MAZDA PROTEGE H4"
what you really get:
"How does it work ?
Basically, this conversion kit contains 2 twin powerful relays with double drive to enable each filament to reach a maximum of 140/150W. There are 2 halogen bulb covers that convert the standard halogen bulbs into HID lamp systems."
Wohooo... I get two filaments on in the bulb (the highbeams!!!!) and I get a blue filter to put on the bulb... I gotta get me some of these!
surely worth the $65

[i] The maximum output for this system about 5200k ! The advantages of this kit is to provide more than twice the amount of light of a halogen bulb while only consuming half the power.[/B]
5200K! I guess that's in farenheight. I like the part about twice the light for half the power. I want to meet the guy that has the patent on bulbs that are more than double the wattage but draw half the power. Must be a smart man to get around OHM's law like that.

It's a direct wire harness that hooks up to the battery. The relays are used to switch the power directly from the battery so you aren't using the small gauge wires in the car. As for the temp of the bulbs, you can get that with a set of hyperwhites from Target for $15. Nice try though. The rest of the money went into making that fancy box.
