185 km/hr in the protege. felt great
180 km/hr in the mustang. scary as all unholy hell. not safe.


middle of the night. open highway. only for about 5 minutes. still not smart on my part.

 

95mph.... yup im a *****... and I don't want a ticket

plus you should have seen my old tires. just replaced em yesterday

 

120mph in my car.... felt like I was doing 50

 

When I was in High School.....I had a good friend who's dad was a dective in the sheriffs department.....they got to order their own unmarked cars at the time, his car wasn't new, but he had a 1969 Dodge Charger with the police interceptor package in it....OMG talk about awsome.....his dad was VERY VERY trusting and allowed him to drive it from time to time.....one evening we were out in it and he just had to show me how bad it was...and why NEVER to think you could outrun the police.....we were doing 60 at the time on the open highway.....he nailed it....put me firmly in the back of the seat and in no time at all we were doing all the speedo showed..... 160 mph!!!! it was a thrill I won't forget.....and that was 29 years ago.

Well with me behind the wheel its 154 mph in my old 1987 1/2 Supra turbo. I had just finished my break in period and this black camero wanted to play. So I looked over at my wife and say its Play-Time. We were both going around 60 when we both punched it. It was perty close unto I hit 110 mph thats when he faded. Since this was my first true test of my new car I held it open for all it was worth, even with the wifes disapproval. It was on I480 just outside Cleveland, it was 3 lanes wide but at that speed looked alot narrower. I was young and dumb back then. My wife got her revenge when she was out driving it around (at a respectable 55 mph.) blew the turbo. It got traded in for a (GASP) mini van. A very sad day.

coulda gone faster too but i decided to back off because there was a bend in the road

 

Goddam you must be a hell of a lot more than stock.
Mines governed at 190kmh (115mph).

 

LOL. I was about to raise the B.S. flag until I noticed that the big numbers are km/h instead of mph.

 

LOL yeah, i don't think any year protege comes with a speedo that goes to 220
