Ain't that the truth. I have seen so many more cops out on the road, ever since TN starting going through their budget problems. Bastards.

So does that mean your insurance is going up?? If so, no more mods! I have StateFarm, not sure though if they go up on speeding tickets. At one time they didn't, but not sure about nowadays! It's not the ticket, it's the insurance that will kill you esp. if you aren't 25.

holy crap..
$150??

I once got caught speeding 62 in a 45
the ticket was only like $50 (forget, not a whole lot more though)
I was pleasantly surprised

I guess the fact that I got the ticket in a small-town (St. Robert, Mo) helped

The thing that sucks is city departments are in need of money with the economy in the toilet. They are really bad here in North Texas, as well as everywhere else I would assume

I have been stopped twice for no liscence plate on the front of my car, and trust me the cops had to go out of their way to get me, because when I saw them U-turn, I hauled *** down a side street.

I might get flamed for this one

I don't get it..
you guys are getting stopped for violating a law, and you BITCH about it ?

WTF
if you're speeding and you get stopped, and ticketed YOU DESERVED IT
If I speed and I get caught, and a ticket I DESERVE IT

if you're supposed to have a license plate up-front and you don't you DESERVE to get ticketed for it..plain and simple....

know the consequences you're going to face for doing something wrong and accept it/them..

Laws are meant to be broken. I was doing 25 in a 20 and got stopped. I was speeding, but did I deserve a ticket? NO. Why waste time with a measely 5 miles over that I can have thrown out in court, when s/he could have gone after red light runners, or something worth more money, and a greater offender. And for that matter, they could have been off somewhere helping someone who was stranded or something.

if you're supposed to have a license plate up-front and you don't you DESERVE to get ticketed for it..plain and simple....
Wrong. over half of the cars in Dallas dont have a front liscense plate. The cop used this one as an excuse to try to intimidate me. It is in the front windsheild, just not on the front bumper. I am following the law, just not the way they want me to. Do I deserve a ticket? NO. Plain and simple

I do know the consequences, and I do accept responsibility. But if they dont follow the rules set forth by the government, then the reading they take could technically be wrong, and the could be making false citations. Ever heard the expression let 12 guilty men go free if it means that an innocent man does not go to prison? This is the far, far extreme of that.

They dont follow the rules set forth, then why should we?
They should be setting an example, not getting away with what little they can do.

I may duck down a side street here and there, but if you just do the speed limit down the side street and find a driveway to park in or something, then what harm can it do?

And for the times that they do get you, then you use my little bit of info I learned thru here to see if they were doing their job.

Not to flame, but I hate it when people say that people who try to get out of tickets are not accepting responsibility.

Thats a load of bull, some maybe yes, I wont deny that, but most of us do take responsibility, and we are just more creative at ways of saving ourselves money down the road.
