Finally, a garage!

Closed on a house yesterday, and after all these years I will finally have a garage! Two car, it has a neat recess at the back which will be perfect for storing my motorcycles. Now maybe I can get started on my RX-7 resto (once all the house work gets done that is).

That's one thing I wish my house had...a 2 car garage. Congrats on the new digs!

My day will come. I've always been an apartment dweller, always longed for a garage. I bought a place a year and a half ago, and of course, the only thing I could afford was another apartment. My company is relocating us next year (to a more expensive area, of course) and I'm going to do everything in my power to have a garage. With a beer fridge. And a stereo.

yup. the garage is defitely the best thing about owning a house. the yard work sux but the garage more than makes up for it.

Thanks for all the kind words. Once I get the keys, I'm going over to paint the garage drywall with primer (never done, home inspector recommended it before the stuff rots off due to moisture absorption), rip out the sorry excuse of a workbench from my new motorcycle parking, and paint the floor with that two-part epoxy finish. Then I can start moving in! Man's got to have priorities.

You're right pass the peas, your day will come. Patience is rewarded, even though it seems to take forever.

As for yardwork, that's what kids are for!! And between my gf and I, we have more than enough!

Congrats on the purchase.
Garages definitely come in handy. I have two daughters though, so guess who does all the yardwork at my house?
