Foci are pieces...
...of poo-poo!
Yep, our friend's fOCUS took a dump and now he's borrowing my Miata and I'm stuck driving this POS Protege... I'm such a good friend, no?
Would you sacrifice your car for a friend in need?

i have done it several times.
p.s. I thought about buying a used Focus SVT just because of the sheer price and the volume of aftermarket parts available at a low cost. Local dealer has a 30K mile SVT in laser blue for $10K.

Pimprolla!!!
I am still waiting to hear what is actually wrong with his car. He says it's the tranny [possibly]. I told him to keep an eye on the Yatta's oil and water temp but I'm sure he'll treat it fine. Although he might do 360s when I'm not around

the focus has gotten a little better these days as far as reliability...but for lending my car, it depends on the driver. since only 1 of my friends drives stick on a daily basis, it limits my ability to lend the car in the first place.

Haha, yeah, he's a real good guy.
It's a really long story, but sad, too--had a very tough life as a kid, somehow came out unscathed other than can be a bit hard on himself sometimes; could use a bit more self-esteem and confidence when it comes to life's 'big picture'.
Very skilled with metal-working (see link--all the custom metal-work was done by him, and he was a teenager at the time) and good with cars, too. He know how to fix things, but needs to understand more about how and why things work, from a technical standpoint. That's why he's going to Wyotech, plus as you know, I'm sure being ASE Certified helps in the real world (or at least I hope it will).

Kind of went out of business, though--his Dad's company...

good deal. I dunno man. I guess we're just 2 different people. I get shivers when I THINK about someone dating my potential future daughter. I told Kendra we were going to adopt puppys.
