Ford Lightning...
I'm sure you've all seen the new ones.. with the exhaust on the side (reminds me of mustangs, and Viper's)...
anyways.. my question is, can this be done on a Protege? To have the Exhaust coming out the side of the car instead of the back??
I kinda figure it would look kewl, but wondering if it can be done??

Sure it can...
Anything can be done, if you pay enough.
Seriously though, you'll have to have a custom pipe shop put the set-up together. You might want to check your local laws as well. Someplaces don't appreciate the exhaust that comes out in front of the back door.

From what I understand ,at least in Ontario ,the exhaust must exit behind the last passenger door . I n the case of the lighting ,its a truck ,no problem . The Saleen is a 2 door again no problem .
The protege has the rear doors opening over the rear wheel arches ,this is a problem ,which allows exhaust fumes to enter . the rear passenger could also burn themselves on the hot exhaust pipe .
Solution : Make your Pro into a 2 door ,problem solved
