good deal ???

There is this 1988 Mitsubishi Starion that's for sale by my work.
the for sale sign says that the car has 80k miles and the guy is selling it for $700obo.

I have no use of another car, but it sounds like a really good deal to me.............and the car is Turbocharged too

I wouldn't mind buying it and then selling it for a little more later on............what do you guys think ???

You'll have to dump some money into it in order to sell it for a higher amount, I guarantee you. It would work well for SCCA racing or open track days, if you want to do that. If you buy it, you have to insure it, and register it, which costs money.

Starions/Conquests have lotsa problems with their heads and fuel injection systems (on a huge scale)..

If the car has any drivability problems if you test drive it, most things on that car are VERY expensive to fix.

A friend of mine had an 88 Conquest which always ran too lean/hot due to what turned out to be its secondary fuel injector going, car needed a new head and a new secondary fuel injector ($$$) after he let it run too hot a couple times. (The heads are extremely weak on these cars).

Other than that, they are a very unique car with amazing stability and very fast 0-50 acceleration.. lots of fun!

Good deal if the car is ok.. but you need to make sure the cooling system is 100% functional (fans working quite often) and make sure the turbo doesn't glow red or anything.

is a good site to check out to see pricing on performance parts and suggested reliability mods for the car, etc..

Woohoo! Go get it!
