Well everybody, I am very sick, but not too sick that I couldn't pick up my copy of GT4 yesterday. I ripped open the packaging and popped it in and guess what I found... Of the 650+ cars in the game, 1 of them is the Mazda Protege! (WE'VE FINALLY MADE IT INTO A VIDEO GAME!!! WOO HOO!!) Specifically speaking, Sport-20 Familia according to the stats and body styling, although it says that it's just the '02 sedan, but no regular sedan I know of came stock with 165 hp. I plan on driving with it in the game today and I'll give a full road test to anyone who wants it.


*note: MP3 owners may be pissed, I didn't see Laser Mica Blue as one of the color options...

**note 2: There are nearly 30 Mazdas in the game. Anywhere from 1st, 2d, and 3d gen RX-7s, to RX-8s, Mazda 6s, Mazdaspeed 6, the Pro, the Diemo, and a bunch more others including the Mazda savior, the 737B.

 

a few things though....mp3's were only available in 01, they were 140bhp, not 165bhp, they only came in blue and yellow....what they're showing you as a "protege" is most likely a sport20 with us MS body kit on it.

I'll pick mine up today and start wasting away in front of the tube...I've spent 2 years fattening up so I could go weeks without eating.

Yeah....a buddy of mine picked it up...I almost had to run to the bathroom and gratify myself....but i managed to refrain from that....until the rally (polygraphic ****) race was over.

I looked at my friend who in turn looked at me and we both knew at that instant, that we were going to have to come up with a really good explination for why we failed the semester...

Bah, My bro got it today he came in my room and said look (we live in tennesee) and HE is 20 now...he is getting old for video games...haha...j/k, I still prefer the Street....so thats why i play NFSU2, but from what ive seen it looks good...of course he just showed me about an hour ago..oh well...

 

I still have to get GT4 for me....hopefully soon. The NFSU series is cool stuff.

But I've been thinking. You know they should have a Junkyard Turismo or something with all the cars that never made it to GT3/4 or something. Stuff like 2nd gen Pros, old Integras, Legends, 92-5 Civics, 929s, Mirages, LS 400s, just odd ball kinda stuff that no one would think about putting in a game because the cars are the antithesis of high performance.

Though I am glad that we at least got some representation, Protege style.

Forza is going to be better than GT4 i know it, the driving is much more realistic in forza and the damage is incredible in forza.

just you guys wait.


P.S they have a 3 in forza.
