here you go if you don't wanna click
well in California it’s official
Saw it on Headline News today:

$1000.00 fine in San Diego if you're caught WATCHING street racing.

soooooo everyone who is in California or knows about the laws here:

1) $1000.00 fine for watching street racing
2) $2000.00 fine + car is impounded for racing
3) impounded/fine for having a test pipe
4) fine for any under-the-hood mods
5) fine for any modified exhaust
6) fine for any tint on the side windows
7) fine for any change of steering wheels which had stock airbags
8) fine for any change/mods/removal of passenger airbags
9) fine for having you car too low
10)fine for playing your music too loud in the car
11)fine for not having your license plate on the tail and front bumper
12)fine for any exterior lights other than tail and headlights
13)fine for any interior lights other than stock lights

i can't think of anymore...and i know it depends exactly in what area of Cali you are in....nevertheless...

ain't Cali a great place to be?

Over half of those rules make no sense? I have never seen a fine for just having tinted windows or a fine for having other exterior lights? That should hit every single car with fog lights...Cali is on crack...

This will be striked down...also some shorter people diable the airbags so that they do not get decapitated when it goes off. Heard horror stories on this issue.

10)summary execution for playing your music too loud in the car

Maybe I am just a grumpy old man though... (I'm over thirty - you can't trust me!)

That's only in San Diego, not all of California

And #1 and #2 are great, if you know how many people get killed in SD.

** As my friend in SD puts it:
"they don't consider their lack of driving skills as an impediment to racing"

that list is a bunch of crap! i'm from san diego, and they didn't word any of those regulations correctly anyhow. it's not for ANY exterior/interior lights other than stock, it's only for certain colored lights and the placement of the lights, which is pretty much a law everywhere. as for the others on the list, there's laws against that stuff in most states, not just cali; like playing you're music too loud is considered noise pollution. this list is poo!

I was thinking the same thing.

How can you do this without them catching up to you?

The loud music law might a good one... I've got some joker in a
Jeep that literally shakes my house when he drives by. My dog thinks it's the 4th of july and cringes under the bed!(it's kinda funny)
The good news is, There's so many weirdos on crack and gangsters shooting each other in Cali, that the cops don't have time for my measly little intake. Ain't that nice?

As long as the weather's nice and the road's dry...
