I have lost all faith in our justice system

....all it takes is reasonable doubt. Those with a lot of money are nearly always able to buy it. I think all of the financial scandals in this country have really eroded my faith in the American justice system. Afterall, do you know of anyone besides Martha Stewart that has spent any time in jail for stealing millions upon millions of dollars? It's crazy. I think we live in a country (and probably a world) where economic might always makes right. There is no other meaningful moral yardstick that actually leads to policy or redemption.

You know I have mixed feelings about this whole thing. On one hand there is definetly somthing wrong with jacko but on the other it's always the kids parents that make the alagations. Their kids have a very wealthy friend and it would be quite tempting to take advantage of that. H could be a sico or he may be just a troucled adult looking to relive his childhood. The main thing is that he needs to grow up or get help.

leave him alone? We should've probably left Hitler alone as well...just ignore him and forget about his sins and all the hurt and badness will go away. That's the ticket.
I'm a little oldschool I guess. I still want Old Testament justice.

Ok lets say he did do it, who is really at fault? If you were the parents of these childeren, would you let them spend the night with a person who had been accussed of this before? Why would you let your child travel cross country/world with a stranger? "If" this was all true I dont think he would be completely at fault, parents have to take some responsiblity. (Not saying MJ wouldnt be at fault). Our justice system MAY be kurupt, but who are any of us to say different? We werent on the jury, we didnt see or hear all the evidence. Some people are greedy, some people are persuasive, either way he was found not guilty on all counts. end of story

I am not usually your typical rah-rah American but we still have the best and fairest justice sytem in the world.
This is not to say Jackson is innocent. Far from it. He could be, even though it hasn't been proven in my eyes.
Also, in response to Matty's comment about "old Testament" justice, I find that the older I get the more vengeful and caustic my views become on criminal justice. I can't help it, sometimes I just wanna string 'em up by the *****.

Are you serious ya freakin psycho? Did you just compare an alleged child molester (fucked up in the head, but nothing counseling wouldn't cure) to ADOLF HITLER!?
One may have touched children innaproprietly, which in this country of more pent up sexual frustration than the rest of the world combined, is a scandal in a box, just waiting for the media to exploit it. I'm not saying it's ok to do my any means, it's very fucked up but you can not tell me that you think that this was entirely wacko jacko's fault! Anything that the media in this country can use to get a deathgrip on a celeb and bring their rating's up, they will do it, and the idiotic american public bites into it hook, line, and sinker. Who GIVES A **** if he did it or not?! If he did, he needs to go to counseling and get fixed, and not be allowed around children anymore. If he didn't do it, cool, good for him. The thing is, it's not our ******* business! I've said this to my friends and they're like "It is our business, he's a public figure. He's a role model. People look up to him." WHOOOOOOO?! Anyone who still admires Michael Jackson at this point in time is as fucked up as he is. If this was still back in the days of Thriller, then I would be singing a very different tune, but leave the poor guy alone! Worst case, he's sick in the head. He can be cured. It's not our place to judge someone we don't know, especially without knowing any of the facts!
Another thing that really, really gets to me are the people who just sumarily pass judgement on a person based on heresay and their own opinions. People who see a new neighbor with a mohawk or a skateboard or a modified car and think he's some punk drug addict and is going to ruin the neigborhood. Or even worse, people who not only stereotype large groups, but judge them on the same stroke. Example: People at airports and other public places looking dericivly/suspiciously at people who look middle eastern. This is a perfect example of what I'm talking about! A few people from a very public VERY VERY extreme orginization did something that was horrible beyond imagination, so the robotic, media-brainwashed American public (not just america, but mostly) listened to the first reports that Muslims were behind it and almost immediatly, hate crimes again Muslims started! Days after thousands of people were killed and thousands more injured, these brainboxes go out hurting, killing, and pyschologically torturing these people who did NOTHING but descend from a certain line of people and worship a different god.
And the thing that pisses me off more than that are the people who try to use the Bible to back these opinions/actions up! THE BIBLE! The same book that says men should not judge, that's God's job. But apparently only in certain cases, according to some people.
I ******* hate people who refuse to think for themselves.

I'd have to agree with some of you on this case. For me, I couldn't really make heads or tails of the thing cuz it's messed up on both sides. We have MJ on one side and his money and whatever else for persuasion versus a kid or whomever who's either been manipulated or is trying to con money out of Jackson. So I don't know. I thought they'd at least get him on something, but I wasn't there hearing all the evidence. Jackson needs help for sure, I'll conclude that along with a lot of other people.
As for your quote, Anarchistchiken, I will agree with you very much. The Bible does unfortunately get misused in the name of justifying actions...grossly misused to the point that the verse or particular passage is discussing something entirely unrelated. The justice system is good when its principles are upheld, obviously. It's there for a reason. So, as part of me would like to see him in jail, my opinion being based mostly on his present image is weakly backed up. Give the man some help people, that's all I can say. Mayeb he'll sing again just to reassure us there's still part of the old Michael that's still got it...

Whether or not he's really guilty, if I were him I'd stay in never land ranch and never be seen again or have out side sompany. He has to see that people are out to ruin him. Beleive me I am no Jackson fan, but after people trying to ruin him twice now....I'd stay away from everyone except for family and close friends. I didn't pay much attention to the trial but I heard from multiple stations that the prosecution had weak evidence. And in this county all it takes is reasonable doubt. Undoubtedly he is weird, but that does not make you guilty of anything.
I am guilty of one thing.....I did want to see what he would look like after a couple of weeks in jail. You know since they can't wear any kind of make up or wigs .

gotta go back and edit out the F-word guys. we should try to remain somewhat family friendly.
p.s. I compared MJ to Hitler because both people ruined lives, both people used propoganda to control the masses and both people were genuises.

Ha ha...MJ, even to this day when I hear some classic stuff...I break out the hee hee's and the hoo hoo's!! MJ is the undisputed KING of Pop...no one can take that away from him. Yes, I agree MJ is kooky to say the least, but REASONABLE DOUBT was all over that courtroom...so the family was so dysfunctional and so decietful that the jurors had no choice. Anyway...what type of parent would allow their child to sleep over w/MJ? Especially after they know the guys background? Not me....so it's the parents damn fault....the kids didn't come forward....the parents egged them on....for waht? Money. Granted, I think MJ was guilty of something....but c'mon....MJ's not built for D-Block. You know what they do to pretty boys in jail?
