Oh, by the way, KBB prices are overinflated to begin with, try edmunds.com

Of course they took it, you paid around $3,500 to much. You better enjoy it!

Well that's funny.. Edmunds says $26,516 since it is a certified used vehicle and even if it wasn't its still $25,166.. and like i said.. this thing was worth it even if I would have had to pay $26K. As I say to all of my friends when we're riding in it, "drive one and you'd understand."

A car is worth whatever somebody is willing to pay for it, and you were willing, so the car was worth it to you.

Ok, think about this for a minute. Maybe you will see the light.
The dealer paid somewhere around trade in value for the car, so what should you pay for the car?
Dealer retail? Well, if you like to throw thousands away, go for it.
Should you pay private party value even if you buy it from the dealer?
Yes, you should.
Why you ask? Because its a fair price for you and the dealer.
The dealer will still make money, but a fair amount, and you will get the car at a fair price.
The only ones who pay more are the uninformed of buying cars.
They pay under dealer retail like you did and walk away thinking they got a good deal. Guess what? You didnt.
This is why car dealers make so much money.
If you would have offered private party value, chances are the dealer takes it. If they dont, you should walk away.
They prey on people who are passionate about the car and will pay thousands to much.
Dont feel bad, happens to lots of people.
better luck next time you go car shopping

hold up so you're pretty much calling me a stupid 17 year old eh? so you think I got raped.. hmm.. well you know.. I spent four hours in the show room and left saying i wanted the car for $20K. We started there.. then I left and went back the next day and tried again for two hours saying I wanted it for 21 and nothing more. After all of that I got tired as hell and I said what do you want for it.. they said 24 so i went back at $23,500 and it was a done deal.. if you look at it from my stand point I raped em bline because I took only 2500 out of my pocket. That's a damn good deal and if I got raped anywhere in the deal it was for the pos' i traded in for it. I got NOTHING for the two Proteges because, "they're not a highly desired vehicle." Well whatever.. I'm happy and 2,500 out of pocket for a Bimmer THAT I PAID FOR isn't bad. See I'm not some spoiled kid.. what I have I paid for no matter how much I paid for it. Its mine in my name and insured in my name free and clear. That's all that matters in my opinion.

Im not calling you anything. I just think you payed too much for the car, and I explained why, and my logic is sound. And I suggested you try it next time you buy a car to save money.
If you want to get all pissed off about it, well, maybe you do deserve to be called some names....
