I want a bike

Ok, I've been looking at all kinds of motorcycles, and the bug has bit me. I want one.

Kinda like this one, but I flip back and forth between several models. This is a short review of it.

The 2003 CBR600F4i! Voted the Best MiddleweightStreetbike by Cycle World magazine, the CBR600F4i continues to be the benchmark600cc sport bike by which all others are judged. Shim-under-bucket valves mean 16,000-mile maintenance intervals.

Any thoughts, advice or suggestions about what to do before I get the bike? I'm thinking of taking a class since I've never riden one before.

I recommend the kawasaki ninja Zx-6R or the zx-6RR. It is rated at 636cc. The cbr you are looking at rides pretty well, i used to own one. I recommend taking that riders course, its a good course and some insurance company give u a price break if you take it. I also suggest that you get a crappier bike, a starter bike, cuz ur gonna drop it and fall, and you dont want to do that one a 2003 bike. When you get good at riding sell it and buy a better one. thats my .02cents

I agree with jester 100%....take the riders course....get a starter bike, USED....then when you are REALLY ready to ride....seeing as how you are evidently into sport bikes....get a BUELL

Yeah, I'll get the license when I take the class. It's a 3 day course and you get your license at the end. It kinda sucks though cus then you have a temp plate to identify you as a new rider. You also can't ride at night until you've had the license for a year. I suppose I could get a starter bike. I hadn't really thought about it. I don't plan to mess the bike up with crazy stunts or anything. I like the ninja too, how much is the buell?

Depending on which model you get....they run between $8000 and $9500.....

unless you want to get one of the little 500 cc models...then they are about half that.

Thats still way too much for a begginer bike. When I get one probably this fall or next spring, I'm gonna just go around locally and find one that runs well but I wont really care about so I can drop it and not freak out, cause that will happen. I also dont wanna get one thats very fast for my first bike, cause I'll **** myself if I do.
