I'm back...as much as I can be

Hey guys. Sorry I haven't been around. I'm sure you all know I took a new job a few months back and have been working crazy hours. As of last week I got another promotion and now I work in outside sales which means I'm going to be around less even more. On a positive note I'm making real good money. My wife is back at UAB and finishing up her masters.

Here's the news:

We're moving overseas in about 14-16 months. Kendra has gotten job offers from about 5 different countries all over the world. She is working in global health studies and aids research. Apparently the school she's going to is like the 3rd or 4th best in the world for this degree. When she got accepted these countries health departments started recruiting. Long story short, she'll make a good paycheck just in another part of the world. In the meantime I work everyday all day so she doesn't have to and we can pay off every bill we owe on. That way when we leave we just sell our home/land outright and buy something new.

This is not 100% set in stone yet as we dont know for sure exactly when she'll graduate. She should have just at a year left of school and then 2-3 months for us to get our personal affairs in order.

My car situation:

I'm selling the p5 still. lots of new parts, no supercharger. I have absolutely 0 time to dedicate to it anymore. I had very little to begin with. Now I have none. I've put a deposit down on a new MS6 and was supposed to take delivery of it yesterday but the dealership refused to accept my trade and forced me to shop it around. I hate dealerships. Exspecially since I've bought 5 mazdas in 5 years. The rx7 has almost $3k in body work and i've made 0 progress on it. I had to scrap my SHO swap due to the inability to find the parts needed. The subframe builder backed out on me and I'm stuck holding a new engine, wiring harness and ecu with nothing for it to go into.

Nutari: should've already gotten his money back and he's just waiting on the big box of parts to show up. I didn't get them shipped out yet because my wife didnt know which box to grab out of the shop. It will go out just as soon as she can get up to the p.o.

Timmy: I need you to email me @ perrymuk@bellsouth.net . I still have your cash sitting here in my safe and I want to get it back to you ASAP. I need some contact info from you to do so. If you still want a headunit like the one I showed you let me know and I've got one here. Still brand new and everything.

work: I like my job a lot but it's very demanding. I have 0 time for myself anymore. I'm very selfish with my time and now that I can't even sit down and play a game i'm real cranky. I get up at 4:30am, walk our puppy, shower and I'm at work by 6am. I don't usually get home untl after 6:30-7 and when I do I usually just fall asleep in my recliner under the ceiling fan. I get large paychecks and the wife takes them from me to pay bills. I sleep, work, poop..everyday. Maybe after we've paid everything off I can take some time off just for me.

Topher: I'm going to try to make it out to ZZL on sunday about lunch time. Don't hold me to it but I haven't missed one yet. Last year when I showed up everyone left and went to a party while I was still waiting in line.

that's about everything...oh yeah. I've got a STUFFED pm box. If you have something IMPORTANT to ask me or talk about just email me please. It's much easier for me to check that. I can sometimes check my emails from my cell phone.

anyone interested in a party at my place?

Nice to hear from you Matt, I hope everything works out for you & the missus.
Australia might be the place to go---lots of open road in the interior, some pretty fast machinery is available right there and no need to learn another language, just slang!

And all you have to do is switch night and day, winter and summer--god, everything really is upside-down there...

yeah, it really came down between australia and scottland and when I put my foot down about aussieland kendra said she'd rather live in scottland. So I just took her to a scottish friends house and had "authentic food".....she's going to LOVE queensland.

Nice to hear from you! Good to know all is well!

Have fun with the MS6! I love those things! I also just read an article on the MS3...Seems like it's going to be a pretty quick car, around a 13.9 quarter-mile stock!

I vote for Aussieland too, I have a bunch of relatives that live there and they say it's great.

Wow! Sounds great Matty and glad to hear you all are doing ok. You know that would've been my choice, too: Scottland. Beautiful country! Not to mention the easy access to Europe only cars! Good luck driving the wrong way!!

How much you selling the p5 for BTW?

I'm asking $10.5K for the p5. It's got a brand new 7" in-dash dvd system and a fresh 30K service. It only has 31K on it right now.
