Hello. I just wanted to introduce myself. I've been lurking for a week or so, and have decided to join these fine forums.

I own a 2001 Protege ES (w 4 wheel disc). To date I have done absolutely nothing to it.

I used to be a big Chevy guy, getting my hands dirty on a couple of 'small blocks'. Then with a mortgage, wife, gas prices etc.. compact cars became a lot more practical. After a couple of Hondas, and now a Mazda I've grown to appreciate the (dare I call it) superior engineering of the "rice rockets".

Anyway, recently the "bug" has bit me and I'm itching to get back under the hood, for more than just a tune up, or oil change. I'm looking farward to spending some more time here learning and sharing my experiences.

Ok, Ok! I might as well air my dirty secret now. It's an A/T. The wife had her input on the car purchase, and although I faught it 'till the bitter end.....I lost! I know, I'm a big pu**y. If you're in the same situation, I'll call YOU one, but don't be afraid to call me out on it.

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to our Club. There are TWO BIG fridge'S in the corner with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have.

make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

LOL ... ye ... it happened cuz alot of post whoring went on, in this section, and people were raising their post counts alot, so ye that measure was put in place to stop it....

well i'm only 18, but once i get married, and need to buy a new car, lol, I'd teach de wife 5speed...... i wouldn't be able to stand driving an Auto
i've taught a couple of people to drive 5speed already.... my first 'pupil' now owns a ford probe GT, and he is pretty good... almost as good as me lol

ye well once a gurl i know gets her G1, den i'll teach her it properly too, I've told her de basics...... I've got about 3 other people i'm teaching right now too hehe... maybe i should start a learn to drive stick school heheheh..... n start charging....

but ye ... i would teach de wife.... who knows.. i would probably teach her b4 she became my wife lol.... so that sometimes... i could actually, for once, sit in the passenger seat... hehe ... or in the back seats lol.
