Jackson Trial Wrapping Up

Jackson Trial Wrapping Up
Okay, first off, let me say that I don't particularly like Michael Jackson. I don't dislike him either. If one of his songs comes on the radio on my ride into work, I am likely to groan "gawwwd" and change the station. Come to think of it, I haven't had that problem in a long time (probably because he's about as popular as dogshit flavored cheerios these days). But, at least he will never be broke. Anyone with enough business sense to buy up the rights to a ton of Beetles songs has a solid gold "Plan B", when the solid gold LP's stop rolling.
Anyhow, despite my disinterest in his music, I am intensly interested in this molestation trial. Why? Because it's got all the elements of a good movie. Scandal, deception, sex, violence, a villian (which I think depends on your perspective), and a hero (again, depending on your prospective). It's got a cancer survivor who somehow failed to learn anything about morality when confronted with the bitter end pitted against a guy who sleeps in a glass chamber, owns his own chimp named bubbles, and denies having had umpteen plastic surgeries. It's a rolling freakshow, more addictive than sitting in front of the tube with a bag of Cheetos watching Springer. Are those Springer folks real? I don't know, but yes, this Jackson trial is real. And now, it's coming to an end. Soon, it will all be over for the boy who beat cancer with a little help from the Neverland Ranch and the only pop star scarier looking than Marylin Manson.
So, who's gonna win? Your guess is as good as mine. IMO, Jackson is no saint, and probably played a little underage pocket pool in the past. But this kid seems like such a gold digger, peddalling his story all over the loamy soils of Hollywood in search of a star with a tear in his eye and a buck in his pocket. Is there any 13-year-old boy that truly considers Jay Leno his hero? Gee, do ya 'spose he was after something? Since this boy "cried wolf" before, it makes it much more likely in the end that Jackson will get away with whatever he did. If anything.
Whataya think?

As someone who always has an opinion, I have to say I'm really on the fence about Jackson.
Is he a freak? Absolutely. Is he a child molester? I don't know.
There will always be greedy people looking for ways to prey on a celebrity's weakness. I think in this particular case Jackson is probably not guilty. I've not seen or heard any evidence that proves his guilt.
Whether you admire Jackson, or turn away in disgust at the mere mention of his name, every
person deserves a fair trial and although I am not following this case closely at all, it appears that is what he got. I'll be interested to hear what the jury comes up with.

before the trial actually started do any of you remember watching what caused the case to be brought before court?
The accuser was in pyschiatric evaluation where he claimed Jackson molested him. This was turned over to the Police who obtained a warrant to search Jackson's neverland ranch. Based on the confessions of the boy police searched Jacksons home and found (among other things) a suitcase full of pornographic materials, sleeping pills, alcohol and "paraphinalia". The suitcase was EXACTLY in the location the boy described. He was also able to name the pill bottles jackson had in his home and what the pills looked like.
If this isn't enough to convince that Jackson is guilty does anyone remember when the last accuser was able to describe to a T jacksons privates?? He'd obviously seen them before.
I understand the family looks like money grubbers but seriously what kind of evidence do you need? a leaky poop-shoot?

...I was going to find a picture of an alien to compare him to, but got sick of the Google search. Think about it.... strange, big wide eyes, an unusual forehead, narrow cheek bones, a ghastly nose, rail thin proportions, pale "livin' in a cave" complexion... all that is missing is the bigger than average cranium (which I guess could be there, underneath that head o- hair. Speaking of Michael's hair, anyone want to do a little photoshop for me, and post a pic of what he would look like with a mullet?
