just stopping by to say hi!

Like the title says. I havent posted at all since I bought my Ranger but thought I would stop by and say I've been checking out these forums since Jan. 04 when I bought it just see what's been going on. Im always looking for a nice slightly used 02-03 mazdaspeed protege or protege ES to take on as a project but haven't found much around yet. You all helped me a lot when i had my Protege and I hope I can return sometime soon...

Old specs:
1999 Mazda Protege ES
Auto tranny converted to manual 5-speed.
FS-ZE engine swap which never ran right
classic red with a gray interior

Well I dont miss my protege really because the one I had, had so many problems with it. The engine was a never ending battle thats why I went with an FS-ZE but that didnt correct anything because I switched to a 5 speed manual at that time also so it just helped me burn through that engine and many clutches. This Ranger is bullit proof. Far from stock already, 2 clutches later, and running faster in the 1/4-mile than my protege ever did. That's why Im looking for a used mazdaspeed or something of that nature that's decently fast already and handles like nothing else. I miss the little things about the protege, like the back seat lol

I did a SVO motor swap into a ranger for a guy. We also did a 3.0L SHO motor swap into a ranger. Where are you located?? Wanna have a custom supercharger made for your truck?

Haha well I have a supercharger already [] I need to get it installed but its sitting in the garage right now. And I didnt want a crew cab at the time because the only one I would have gotten was out of my price range at the time. Im a FORD MASTERTECH, so no chevy for me! lol.. and I dont like the GMC Canyon/CHevy Colorado... there's something odd about them.. if you really care, here's a link to my car domain lol... You will also see the 04 F350 I just sold on the 1st page.. that was a present to myself after my grand father had died and left my family and I some money, but i just didnt have time to play with her anymore.. too many hours of work and they decided to open the f-ing dealership for Sat. service now, its so dumb!

what blower are you using? I have a friend here who owns a local speed shop specializing in Rangers. He's got a few that are pretty fast.

I'll be running the whipple blower. There's a guy on one of the Ranger forums who has a reg. cab with 3.73s running 14.2's in the 1/4. I have the 4.10s so as long as I can get my tuning perfect I'll be easy high 13s.
