i just wanted to let you guys know how boring it is in this lil town in wnc...its a saturday im off work i woke up at 9 am this morning spent 2 or so hours cleaning my car drove around for about 30 min. but since then ive been setting at home all day watching a damn jimmy neutron marathon because im too lazy to walk all the way across my room to get the remote geeze this place stinks..... how is life wherever your at??? what have you done today

 

i've babysat my daughter/sons all day... got most of the house cleaned... and i changed the channel... thats what kids are for! remote retrieval! .. and life is boring here too, town of um.. 1000? haha

 

um what is real life? Should we be doing things other than working on our cars?

(I haven't even seen my car yet today.. haven't ventured into the garage at all haha)

I've been studying for finals >_<

but I didn't wake up until 1pm.. that was my body's way of saying "OMFG I HATE YOU! YOU NEVER SLEEP MORE THAN FOUR HOURS A NIGHT"

for the first time in a long time (a few months) I actually had REM sleep at night (instead of during class like I usually do) and had a dream that I sold my P5.. for a Lexus RX400h. yeah clearly a fucked up dream.

lets see, i worked all day, came home and washed my car, inside and out, and now im pretty much here....
and then i work all day tomorow, and then im doing another photoshoot after work tomorow....
p.s... i saw a porsche carrera GT anda ferrari F430 last night.... it was INSANE!!

driving downtown here the other day i seen a lotis elise, porsche boxter, and 2 porsche chyanne s models (probably spelled some wrong but you get the pic)

 

i got to sleep till 11. Got out of bed, replanted a couple of the gf's plants, cleaned out my 10 gallon aquarium, surfed the web a bit, drank a dr. pepper or 2. GF got home from work, we went to Circuit city and Best Buy looking for a HU for my car..(could've sworn Matty was behind us on the way to Blockbuster!) watched Arthur and the Invisibles, (per her request) and now I'm off to crawl into bed and.....well....a bit of begging may be involved.....

 

I just got wpa_supplicant working with my WPA2-AES network on my thinkpad running Arch Linux.

I could have done this months ago, but never really had a break from school/work (not that I do right now, should be studying for finals).

I have achieved enough for the day, though the day has only just started here on the east coast. I need to write my own friggin wireless network manager for linux because I can't find one that actually works for me.

edit: if anyone has any suggestions for a good linux network profile management script, lemme know. I'm using the default arch linux one right now, which is a bit lacking.

 

Today being Sunday (here) it will be quiet. Got everyone working this morning, made my round, checked some things out in the galley (have to do a test of some equipment but have to wait until they aren't in there). This afternoon I have to write up the overtime for the week, put it on the summary sheet and into the payroll program and turn it in. Then tonight I'm going to the Seaman's Club for my weekly lobster dinner. Man has to have a routine out here or you will go nuts. Not that I'm not already...

 

Oh yeah, for those who can't find their remotes pick a spot where everyone has to put it when they are done. I used to hate that not being able to find it because someone left it on the couch and it got pushed down into the cushions etc. So now it is put on the stand right in front of the TV (except in the bedroom, I still can't get my gf to put stuff in the same place all the time. Of course there are other things she does that make up for that!).

 

heck.. i even have a remote for my fan...
i'm trying to get some stuff done today... get my color chart done, maybe my font chart... wife's decals for her car.... my business cards.

 

I had a little weekend camput with my younger daughter this weekend...this morning we got up, ate breakfast with the other kids and dads. My daughter won a little prize for free bowling. I got a whipped cream pie in the face.
Then before we left the camp we did a nature trail walk, got our squished pennies from the railroad track and did some rope swinging (well, my daughter did, not me).

I am sooooo sore from the weekend, but I had to wash my car anyway.

In about an hour I am taking the same daughter to her Chess Club end-of-year banquet.
She is 14, deaf, and kicks my *** every game.

 

sounds fun i went back to my birthplace today in greeneville, tn ill post some pics later but i went and spent some time with my lil bro....washed my car again....can you wash a car to much??? will it hurt anything???? but on my way back i topped out my car...im loading the pics now ill post in a different thread but summary of week:
monday: bought new mazda
tuesday: stripped system out of my ford focus
wednesday: washed car... put the system in my new mazda...it was to heavy for my liking so i downsized a lot ill post before and afters soon
thursdayut all new door speakers in my car
friday: washed car: and went to blue ridge parkway
saturday: washed car in morning and watched jimmy neutron all day
sunday:went to tennessee washed my car seen my lil bro hit my cars top speed in the gorge coming back home.....that is my week and of course i worked somehwere in there as well lol
