I am sure that Jeff will correct me if I am wrong. But in order to post pictures on this site they need to be hosted elsewhere, the URL for the pic is all that is stored in the post. When you open the thread the picture is actually pulled from the other server and displayed in line. Though it would be nice if folks shrunk some of the images a little before posting them

So, the bandwidth hit that this site takes for pics like that is no different than just posting a URL to the picture.

I saw one of those at the mall before christmas. They look like so much fun!!! The guy was doing donuts while he waited in line. If they were cheaper, they would definately replace walking. Hell if i had an extra 3 grand lying around, i would definately get one!

 

If you ask me, the Segway is just another machine that will contribute to North America's obeisity problem. People need to get out and walk or bike more, not less. If everyone starts using a machine to replace travelling by foot, things will only get worse.
On the other hand, it does look like a fun recreational toy. I just don't like how people are saying it will replace walking. Hell, for a lot of people, walking is the only exercise they get in their day.
