I saw a half-assed apology and an attempt to sling more mud.

I'm not out to get anyone but when I (a forum moderator) say to watch your language we don't do that here and I get someone arguing back and telling me how stuff is done on other forums I lose all restraint. I will not be told by members that what other people allow on other forums is what they're going to do here if it's against our TOS. Plain and simple.

Talon, your sarcasm isn't the problem. It's your language and attitude. Curb it and we'll all get along fine.

Protege Owners Club Rules, were the only rules I could find on this site after search for 'terms', 'terms of' and 'terms of service'

My post was in no way "obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws."

As a Moderator u have the responsibility to be un-bias, much like a Judge in a Legal court. You cannot bring in your personal beliefs to help sway your judgement. Your job is to make sure people do "not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws."

I MAY not get along with u, but from what I have seen in searching is u have a tendency to step on a lot of peoples's toes also.

And if You the word 'God Damn' so utterly offensive. Then I think you will/would find these 'smilies' equally if not MORE offensive then 'God Damn'

I don't see you sensoring those 'smilies' out of threads. So if those are tolerated then I think those 2 words should be equally tolerated. I'm NOT a hard person to get along with.

How was that the last straw. I did exactly what u told me to do. U told me to check the TOS. I did. I commented on what I found with it, and then I told U what I FIND offensive.

well im gonna have to agree here, if this forum is filtering out all the bad language as you guys call it, the get rid of the smilies, i still dont see why the whole bad language thing started to make a big push, i think its ghey myself, buy while were are down that road, and you are pissing on people for swearing, and such maybe you should edit your sig ("This oatmeal is bitchin' ".....my wife Kiki) you never know "bitchin" might offend the young ones we have here, and god knows we dont want them to swear any more.

im sure your an awesome guy and all rodiousprime, but jeez d0od its the internet, not pre-school, alittle "bad language" never killed anyone, and im sure its never going to, the only time i would make a big deal out of "bad language" is when people start to flame on each other, then it gets personal, until then lighten up man.

 

Its truly a slippery slope. If your going to censor this, u have to censor everything.
