That video was awesome. But the corolla Ae-86 i think is rwd. They were just ripping the ebrake and making it skid out of control most of the time

AE-86 is RWD. most people pull the Ebrake for a quick second then floor it, just to get the slide going. i'll see if i can post some more drift videos soon.

I'm pretty sure only the japanease version was RWD the american was FF and people still drifted like mad with that. But at anyrate we can all agree that we would hate to be that car's tires.

You're pretty Wrong...AE86 Corolla's were RWD ONLY !! Drifting is a RWD only sport. Period. If you say otherwise, you dont understand the concept of drifting

Although Macdaddy is pretty blunt almost to the point of rud some times, I have to agree 100%. Take a ride in a RWD car while he is drifting, than you'll know the differance. And it's a big one.
Oh and no offence there M-daddy!

none taken...trying to "drift" in a FWD car is just dragging your *** ..I just get sick of people trying to tell me otherwise. Hence, the bluntness

Actually drifting is reffered to as exit orientated, meaning that the front of the car is facing out of the corner before it normally would and FWD can be drifted it's just not as graceful as RWD drifti

Ok just to set it streight here is a page that tells you what when and how.
Although they DO mention FWD cars 99% of the techniques are for RWD cars, because this is a RWD car sport. Its about how much controle of the car you have.
There is a reason it looks ugly when a FWD car trys to drift race! It just doesn't fit right.
