Midnight Club II

OK .. hot on the heels of Auto Modellista is MC2.
Anyone picked it up yet?
8-player online racing through cities. It sounds very tempting as the 2 mountain courses with in AM, and the tedious car setup get boring fast.

I just read a review of it on IGN.com, they said it's an awesome game, I think I might pick it up tonight They were saying how blazingly fast the gameplay was, although leaning heavily towards arcade (not that that's a bad thing). Oh yea, and motorcycles!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

I also have AM, but I'm pissed that you can't tune the engine swapped cars, or even adjust each gear ratio seperately, that hyundai rally car is FREAKING fast, but 4,5,6 are all practically the same gear ratio. I know that's how rally cars actually are, but it's not a rally game!

Well, I picked up the game tonight, it is really fun so far. I've played for about 2 hours or so, and it's not an easy game. I'm only like 15 percent finished, and I don't think I've won a race on the first try yet. Right now I'm racing crotch rockets in my car, not very fair! I consider myself a good racing-game driver, so it's not just me. This game is not that easy!

I have both. Auto Modellista is fun, when compared to MC2, it's WAYYYYY easy. I finished all the races in AM in about 4 hours of gametime (In the garage mode).

So far MC2 is way fun. The motorcycle I got is awesome, I love it. I just made it to the second city (Paris) the other day. Like I said before, this game is NOT easy. It'll take you a few times running the same race to get the feel for where the checkpoints are, and stuff. I haven't played online yet, I want to try and beat the game first. I have played AM online, and it runs pretty good over the cable modem, even though to other cars seem to 'jerk' along the road. It doesn't seem to hinder anything though.
