Um OK but here's one more thing in favor for The General. Did KITT have a fresh *** horn that went, 'DA DA DA DA DUH DUH DUH DA DA DUH DUH DUH DA', or however the hell you would type out that song.
I wasnt sure you turned the posse down long enough to listen to anything else
and
"were on a mission from god"

Anyway, not that I like to explain jokes because it tends to ruin them... but... In case any one missed it... point "A" contradicts point "B" because if the South would have one the war, they would no longer be part of the USA.
As far as 911 is concerned, while everyone why trying the hell to get out of the city, I spent 4 1/2 hours trying to make the normal 1 hour drive towards the city to get my wife... who could only manage to get a ferry to the Jersey side and was otherwise totally stranded. Imagine if you will trying to go the opposite way in a max exodus to extract a loved one... no, I'm not saying that I'm brave enough to jump in the building. But I will tell you that my Cousin's wife, who is also a very close friend of mine worked on the top floor of the South tower... Luckily, she missed her train and came out of the station just before the first tower fell. Of course, we didn't know this until 5 hours later... so keep a hush-hush on the 911 stuff.

Brubeck, it just didn't seem like much of a joke with you not afraid to bash us hillbillies. It just upsets me to hear people talk like we're still lynching people and flying the confederate flag on every front porch. There are many people who still believe in what their ancestors fought for but that doesn't make them ignorant. As for Sept 11th, I had a close friend that was working across the street for the WTC's as well as my best friend working a block away form the white house during 9/11. It took 8 hours before we got a hold them so I would say I felt a similar since of urgency as you did. My fiancee's close friend missed her 9:00 interview at the WTC that morning too and we didn't get word until the next day that she and a friend were OK. Anyway I don't mean to offend anyone but I gotta take up for my hillbillies....If don't who will?
