ms pro - vandalized at dealership!
Yesterday, while getting serviced (yep, them Mazda "ho's" are fairly thorough), I decided to check out the MS Pro - they had just gotten one delivered (Black).
And what a nice car (though they're asking $24 K) - very impressive.
Unfortunately though, it seems these are quite the targets. Theirs was in only a day or two, and overnight, before I went there, some jerk had kicked out the glass, and stolen the radio! Apparently, the thieves knew exactly what they were after, for no other cars were touched. Sadly, they kicked out the left rear quarter-glass for entry, leaving a dent above the rear door handle, and, maliciously, they kicked out the drivers door glass, probably out of spite.
What's appalling is the lack of on-site security and/or video surveillance at this dealership, especially after chucking out $$$ to be an MS dealer. The sales folks were pissed b/c now they have to sell it with "disclosure" of the damages...
Moral of the story: 1) MS owners - be careful! &
2) For those in the E. TN area, this may be a good vehicle by which to strike a reasonable deal. Hell, if I were interested in an MS, I would have bought it then and there, damaged, with a significant reduction in price! Considering their insurance would likely cover the difference, I think a good bargain could be had.
BTW, the Mazda6 appears to be all they claim and more! I am hoping the 2.3 L from the 6, makes it into the new Mazda3!

That's gay man... At my dealership, we even have video surveillance round the clock, but 2 new Silverados were keyed to **** after being on the lot only a day or two. We never caught who did it, but nonetheless it's sad when that **** happens.
Once we even got a $60,000 Tahoe that some bums hitching a ride on the train decided to use for a shelter. While it was in transit, they decided to break the window, and use it as a shelter... There were cigarette burns in the leather, garbage all over the floor, and one of them even decided to urinate in the back cargo area... The shipping company had to pay for a new Tahoe, but even so, that shouldn't have happened in the first place... Some people...

One word "jealousy", probably some people were offended that their favorite car got its *** creamed in the Sport Compact Comparo.
As for knowing exactly what they wanted, I can liken that to Mazda's publicity, especially in car magazines.

But yea, my car was vandalized 6 days after I bought it. I literally screamed when I saw the 2 drivers side doors pounded to hell.

fossil boy, I just got back from picking up a filter for my 626 and I seen the mazdaspeed. It's still messed up. Apparantly there are no parts in the US yet and there having to order them from Japan. The service manager let me check it out pretty good. Damn nice car. He also said there will be no discounts on it because of the vanalism. The vandals need to be chained and beaten then shot between the damn eyes.
