Yeha, I know what you mean when you say the Columbine thing. I roll up to school blasting death metal, and when I step out the car people are surprised it is me, a little white boy blasting hate music, but that is what sounds good to me. But i don't care, only thing is the music doesn't attract too many girls, unless they are the gothic type that can beat me up.
been there ........done that.......
all of it is very true.......especially the girl thing........but that's in the US.......in Europe its a totally different thing........there the girls like it when you're different.......and with death metal you surely are, so you might guess what happens from there

Well then, you are an exception and I am glad there are girls that like metal, but not a lot of people where I live do. I get such dirty looks, but who cares. I went to Springfield College today to visit some friends, and was driving through the ghetto part, blasting my music, and every person on the street looked like they wanted to kill me. But who cares, I say. What bands do you listen to.

There is nothing more pleasing to me than driving through an area that has nothing but rap-listening (or worse DANCE or techno - how the hell do you listen to that **** in a CAR? Are you dancing or driving??), homies or wannabes, all the while cranking up some obnoxious Disturbed or Tool, or whatever. Something LOUD - they do look at me like I'm nuts. It's friggin great.

BTW - it's SO nice to see some metal-head, rock listening people here! Very refreshing! - I was starting to think that the whole world was turning to hip-hop "culture" (might as well call them the "media children" - mindless).

I listen to everything except country and opera. Seriously, in my car right now, I have Dave Matthews, Sevendust, Bela Fleck, Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Metallica, Black Sheep, Black Sabbath, Black Lab, Black Crowes, Tribe Called Quest.....the list goes on, but I'll listen to almost anything if here is TALENT involved. I used to be a hair-band guy (yep - graduated high school in 1991 - whaddaya expect?), and I'll even break that **** out once in a while - mostly the talented players, though. Tribe and Black Sheep are the **** IMO, becaue they have a great way of phrasing things - the rap is actually interesting. Plus their samples are so obscure, they rock.

You need to hear MOP (Mash Out Posse)...they are a Brooklyn rap group (and they are **** might I add) that did a Metal/Rock album...critics are praising it highly also.

I have E-Town Concrete on mp3...hot **** right there.

But, you know, you should open up and listen to some other stuff bro...like some reggae (i.e. Bob Marley...the man is a Legend as has influenced just about everyone in the music biz in some way, shape or form!)

Either way...music is a personal choice....I like it all...except for Country, Gospel & Classical...
