oh a few pople know this already..

I don't have a drivers never had I jsut am an owner of the car with my G/F, she drives we both pay.. sweet deal for her eh??

the reason I don't drive is I have Macular degeneration at the age of 22 known sincec I was 15, that really SUCKS ***..

BUT!!!!

I might be bale to get my drivers with an adapive piece of equipment for seeing signs far away... I am in the process of trying to get it. I post this because I LOVE cars and everythign to do with them and just wanna drive so please pull for me even just if you think about how lucky you all are to be able to drive and not take the freakin bus to work everyday... please just htink how lucky you are and hope that I can be lucky soon too.. I had to post this beccause it is all I have been able to think about for days now and had to get it out!

Woah! That sux dude! Sorry to hear about ya!! I don't have Macular Degeneration, but damn my glasses are practically coke bottle thick! Don't know if that helps ya feel any better, but I'm pullin for ya!

trust me I will, I am waiting to hear from a guy in Calgary about it I had all my info faxed to him and from what I hear he helps alot of people in my situation get a drivers and my optomatrist said she has a patient with eyes worse than mine with the same problem who drive so I have high hopes jsut hope I'm not setting myself up for a fall..

nope unfortinatly there are tow kinds of macular degeneration wet and dry, less people have wet but it is far worse... and most people ahve dry like me, (wet has bleeding in the ye and all fun stuff like that) so it seems all the work trying to find a cure and surgery has all been aimed towards the wet type.. but oh well in 20 years I might beable to have cybernetic eyes and see through walls LOL..

Good luck dude, I hope **** works out for you. But to be honest.... I'm sure even with your condition, you could drive better than about 80% of the people out on the road as it is
