Okay, so my Kings are through......
Unfortunately both of my teams in the East are losing, Pistons and Charlotte.......
Who do you guys think has been the MVP in the playoffs this year...... Pierce and Shaq would be my picks......
Duncan would be head n shoulders above both of them if they managed to squeak past the Lakers.
btw, happy b-day mixmaster matt.... I expect to see you in this thread hehe

I would vote for Pierce for MVP. I am a Celtics fan, and it is great that the Celtics are where they are right now. They are pulling it as a team, and their fierce leader Paul Pierce should be the MVP. I hope they eliminate Detroit, and then it should be very interesting with the Nets. We will see.

It's a tough call on the MVP... How about Bibby being the 6th man MVP? He's getting it DONE! Sacramento has a great team this year, I can't wait to see them squash the lakers!
Peirce is also amazing though. He is really carrying the Celtics. You can never count out Kidd though, he's an amazing player!
I don't care who takes it this year so long as it's not the lakers, blahhhh!

Thank you very much Makaveli, and yes, of course I will participate in this thread. I will say that I hope Boston wins their series, because it will be a great series against the Nets. As for playoff MVP, you know who my choice is. Jason Kidd. He is setting the tone each game, and has been a prime time player in almost every game. But I will give props where it is due, and I must say that Sacramento is playing great, and I hope they kill the Lakers. As for Shaq being MVP, get out of here. The only other person other than Jason Kidd for playoff MVP is either Pierce or Walker, but Pierce out of the 2. Just my 2 cents folks.

nobody wants to give bibby any props for playoff mvp??? heh/heh hard to get noticed on a stacked team i guess. if the spurs can't come back (and they probably won't) i just want them to beat up the lakers so the kings won't have to work as hard. as for the east, well it'll be exciting no matter what as the remaining teams are pretty much evenly matched this time of the year. i'm pulling for the kings all the way...but now i wanna focus on the upcoming draft.

speaking of the upcoming draft, that Yao Ming guy looks pretty good. One of those that will either flop ala Shawn Bradley or that will have a team kicking themselves for the rest of his career for not taking him. I'd never pass up a 7'6 guy.......
Then there's three highschoolers that are entering the draft, anybody know anything on them?
Wilcox out of Maryland looks like a top 5 pick to me.... but then again I'm not really into college, so I don't know who's good and who's not

I will tell you, I would be a little hesitant with Yao Ming. I would rather have Jason Williams. The game starts with the point guard, and the boy has skills. Yao Ming is also too small, and tires out too quickly. By small I mean bulkyness. My scouting report, a good person to have off the bench but needs at least 2-3 years in the pros before he gets up to speed with them. BTW-Congrats to Celtics fans, see you next round.

hey matt, nice scouting! jay williams won't fall below #2. not only does he have skillz, he has strength and size and is very explosive (baron davis?).
high school kids should do one yr in college if they want to be in the big league. that way they can declare after their freshman yr (not sign an agent) and see where they fall in the draft. that way if they like it, they can go. if not, it's more college. little kids ruin the game. there are exceptions... kobe, garnett, tmac... but with the exception of garnett, other kiddie stars did not make an impact their first two yrs (superstar impact).

The highschoolers this year really should have stayed. I wouldnt be suprised if one or more of them didn't go first round. They just don't stand out of their class nearly as much as the superstars that came out of high school. It's dissapointing that they are taking such a huge chance, possibly ruining a potentialy great carear because they weren't either physically or mentally ready. Besides, college ball is better anyways who needs the pro's??
Go Celts!!! Woooooo

Well, to all you Celtics fans on the board, and I know there are a few of you, watch out when you come to NJ. This is the series I have been waiting for, and I predict Nets in 6. But I know it will be a good series. As for the western conference, WHO CARES, they are just a speedbump on the Nets path at holding up the title.
