Need help fast... not a mazda...
Admin... i'm sorry, but was wondering if anyone can help me...
my friend has an 98 oldsmobile... just got tune up 1 week ago...drove to school this morning... and just hours ago, the car wouldn't start (but the temperature gauge was indicating high temp and was also flickering)... tried jump starting it, but no sound... could not find the problem...
i am so sorry about this... guys on this forum are very nice and helpful, and i just thought maybe some of you guys who really know cars might be able to help me...
Admin... i only need to keep this post for a few hours... but if you need to remove this... then...please do...
thanks in advance

Several things come to mind.
First, if absolutely no sound from the starter,
1.. high heat may have shorted out wire to the starter against manifold
2. Bad starter solenoid and contacts are open when it's hot (may get better when it cools down}
3. Bad starter and solenoid
I think it still lies in the electricity to the starter, whether the solenoid, wire, or starter.
Hope it helps
