Neon Super car

I saw one last night and was making a u turn to go for the race but was held up by a truck. I have about 13 LBS of boost right now and am warmed up and ready.

hey dude. you never answered in another thread how you got up to 13PSI while you're running almost everything stock. Unless there is something missing from your sig.

edit: Ok maybe that wasn't you. But I'm still curious

:: or maybe it was deleted. hmm

I put and oversized intercooler from an international bus in the front and repiped the intercooler tubing. Next, I will shim the head to lower compression so I can up the boost to 19 LBS, but will need to fix the fuel regulator and up the injectors. With stock intercooler I could run 12LBS without going into a lean condition as long as it was warm outside. If it was cold I would go into shutoff from the computer. I have built three valves to switch boost levels between 6, 9, 12 LBS with an old dipstick that is conected to my shifter. I run 9 lbs in first gear on the start and switch to 12 lbs when I shift into second. Running around town I run a 6 lbs. I used the silonides from an old mazda RX-7 and grainger valves from the team omni web site to set the boost levels. It is basically the same as a boost controller just about three hundred dollars cheaper. There is nothing like the feeling that you get from being in the left lane and know you need to be in the right lane to enter Jack in the Box, and knowing that you will have no problem swuping everyone at the light to make it happen

ROFL. Pretty crazy stuff...
I was just wondering because I know the ECU will shut off at 10psi boost...

That sounds like a crazy setup. What kind of transmission work are you going to do if any? I hear the tranny isn't up to too many ft/lbs.

Yeah, say "Bye" to your engine. You're going to need plenty more mods other than a bigger interncooler to push that much. How about you learn your car first.

That is what this site is all about. Many Pep boy technicians that know too much. We also have a 11 second Dodge Omni turbo. We also have a 12.5 second Mazda MX-6 GT. Im sure we have no idea what we are doing. . Thanks for your support.

The computer shuts off at 14 lbs with or without detonation. You can fool it with a valve on the MAP sensor.

You may be able to fool the ECU but you're not fooling us. Unfortunately in this forum we require proof, you are just a baloon running out of air.

I don't believe the tranny would take up to 13 psi over extended periods of time. I heard the max would be like 10 psi for the tranny if you wanted it to run reliabily for a long time.

I believe you can reach 19psi but, you'd be waaaay beyond the efficiency range. Not to mention, the internal wastegate would boost creep like a mother.

For 19psi, I'd recommend a T-28, external wastegate, forged internals, transmission work, fuel sys upgrade, and a stand alone. Sounds expensive but, a LOT of fun.

I'm not sure whether to feel sorry for this guy or bitch-slap him. Don't let this happen to you!
