That is just awful. I didn't believe it could be that bad. GM needs to do something about that.
My wife has a 96 Sunfire and I used to think it had some pep to it but I soon realized the error of my ways. I now have my Pro and it would beat that Sunfire on its best day. GM has some styling as well as performance issues to work on.

Another GM Real Winner
Warning: It’s my personal rant time, again!
GM is *special*!!
You're correct, all. This "new" Cavalier is NOT a new vehicle. GM has changed the sheet metal on the exterior and left most everything else unchanged. This is the same generation Cavalier as the last many years, and GM is not slated to redesign it for many more to come.
Given the extremely long lifetime GM has given this generation Cavalier, it's clear that they have no interest in building responsible vehicles. The focus of their efforts has been on huge-*** SUV's, Trucks, and large passenger sedans. In other words, the least efficient vehicles you can buy. They've paid NO worthy attention to efficient small cars, and this latest update to the Cavalier is a pathetic afterthought on their part meant to make people think they’re actually doing something with this model. It doesn't fool me, and it shouldn’t fool you, either.
GM is an auto maker that can't be taken seriously. Their lack of responsibility is punctuated not just in their poor quality, but also in their fundamental lack of respect for building cars that reflect the efficiency befitting a forward thinking, intelligent society. Vehicles built larger than necessary, just for the sake of superfluous, extravagant showmanship and a feeling of macho supremacy (without EVER using them for their off road purposes; not once), represent drivers who are poser, wannabe tough dick heads who don’t know their *** from the end of a fuel pump nozzle, nor acknowledge the true consequences of driving such pieces of ****-- From the TONS of pollution they spew out, to the top heavy, poor maneuverability characteristics, to the safety hazards they pose, to the higher insurance costs, to the dependence on foreign oil they push. In EVERY way these are terrible vehicles, and I find the mentality behind those who drive them utterly shameful. And these vehicles are what GM pushes; NOT efficient, safe, small cars.
GM, and their ugly, cheap-*** Cavalier, can f* off, in my opinion.
Now, just to clarify, this isn't a criticism of people who drive SUV's and actually USE them for their intended purpose. If you have to tow a boat or camper; if you need to haul stuff around for your work; if you regularly go off roading because you're a TRUE enthusiast-- Have at it! You have a legitimate reason for owning something like that. My primary anger is focused on those ******** who drive around the city at all times, on paved roads, picking up groceries and cruising to the damn mall. Those people can f* off. Talk about mindless, wasteful, unnecessary arrogance. They have no concept or care about what they're doing to others, and I find that selfishly reprehensible.

i fully agree with you protegemaster!!! I HATE it when those idiots just waste gas (even if it is their own money) driving huge *** Suburbans/trucks to commute to work and back. they can even handle them properly, they take like 20 mins to back out of a stall because their vehical is too damn big for them to operate.

especially when they take up 3 compact spaces and their end sticks out 2 feet in the driving lane...But I have to applaud the bus drivers who clip the SUV who park on the side of the road in the city...what the heck are you going to do in an SUV in the city of seattle...it snow here 1 day a year...and they are more likely to skip work then drive their vehicle in the snow!
