Just wanted to say Hi. Been browsing the boards for a couple of days now, rolled home last night in my new 2K2 Protege 5. Its my new daily driver, gotta rebuild the old eclipse.
I am very excited about the car, its sporty, fun to drive, good gas mileage, and utilitarian. Can't wait to get a few things for it to spice it up a little. Maybe its just me, but I don't like not being able to hear the motor over the radio during acceleration. Figure the Injen CAI will be on without too much time passing.
Since I also lost my IS 300 to a trade for my girls SUV I will probably try this car in the SCCA autocross. See if I can't do as well as I did in the IS.
Look forward to reading and posting with ya!!
Peace!!

We got her into a 2001 Ford Explorer sport. Black on tan with factory chrome polished wheels and nerf bars. Mama's happy, that makes me happy. We really wanted 4 doors, but being as this one was in really good shape, still under warranty and a great price, we figured it would do just fine. We looked at a few 4runners but we couldn't find any with a V6 in our price range and the 4 cylinders had absolutely no sack. So here we are in the Explorer Sport.
