Opinions wanted on a nissan.

I'm looking for everyone's opinion on the Nissan 200sx SE-R.

I rode in my friends' the other day and it was pretty quick and seemed like a fun car to drive. any thoughts?

P.S. what are some other cars that are pretty reliable and are light/ somewhat quick?

by light i mean under 2500lbs

That car is nice. I had a 91' SE-R and that car was so fun to drive. The SR20 aint no joke and works well with boost. I had over 120K hard miles on mine and I could still get rubber in second with no slippage. I had so much plans for that car until my lil sis wrecked it If you can get your hands on one I say go for it you wont be dissapointed.

One of the cars I still want to get again is an MR2. I had a 91 auto, yes auto. It was really fun great handleing and ran like a top. If you can find a 94-95 turbo t-top 5sd your in. Mid engine rear wheel drive. I saw a guy in a turbo mag that put a 325hp cadi northstar v8 in his. He said it bolted right up, he did have to move a hood mount. 12 sec car!

That Nissan will probably run 15s just like it is! My hubby raced the P5 against our friends and got a whoopin'

Anyway, you can also stuff Northstar V8s in Fieros if you are so inclined.

As for light cars, my Miata only weighs in at 2275lbs and that was with the roll bar installed. You can put 302s in them too...

I've owned two Sentras in my life, although neither of them was an SE-R. I beat them to death and they still ran well. Being on this board of course I would still recommend a Protege but the SE-R with the 2.0 litre, if you can find one in nice shape (stopped making the 200SX in '98)
is a nice car. Pretty quick, I think rated 140bhp and 0-60 in 7.8 seconds. Not bad for what is essentially a Sentra coupe.

Yea but the fierose like to burn up, my ex brother-in-law had one. What an ***, I laugh as it went up in flames! LOL I'm still laughing.

Did you see the Blue one that intered that Quick Silver (like the cannon ball) race? It was a few yrs back, I believe it was around 400hp. He was in first place until close to the end and ran to lean and burns the motor up. He had an average speed of 130mph.

A northstar v8 serious. I wished i had a Mr2. The Toyota Camry V6 motor bolts in with the toyota Solora Manual tran. I saw it in an import mag, it is supercharged and pushing 400+hp and the no hood mount move. If i could find an Mr2, i'd sell my protege in a heartbeat.

Yeah the Sr20 is a great engine. Bulit for torque. I was going to swap in a Sr20DET in my 86 Nissian Pickup, but sold it to my brother in law.

my brother has (i think) a 93' mr2-color-red.. that little fkr got some torque, and around 100 (somthing) hp. really hard to find up here too.... btw... i found a 93' 626 for $650... i might go for it since its closer (and a 5 speed manual) then the 240's
