I'm renewing 2 of my 4 ASE's and working on a new on.... P2 (parts specialist). Is anyone else here taking the ASE's or interested in it?

NAPA will reimburse you the cost of the test plus pay you a $100 bonus for every test you take. That's an extra $500 for me this year. It'll be even more if I keep adding tests each year.

 

i'll have to do ASE tests eventually, cuz im in school for auto mechanics right now....
but that wont be for a couple years still, cuz i just started school a few months ago....

I wish Auto Mechanics classes were held different hours locally, and they werent so expensive...

I have seen sample copys of the ASE certification test and I could almost pass it just from the knowledge I currently have....I just need to know a little more...

Everyone at work says I should be a mechanic, and I'd enjoy it more myself

 

well, I took the tests and I don't think I passed some of them. The format is a little different and was LOADED with trick questions and stuff that I've never dealt with nor applied to me.

If I passed it's by a slim margin.


p.s. on a similar yet distant note....I may be getting back into turning wrenches soon. Outside sales is a great job for me but it's not my dream...I may have a chance to follow that dream and I need to see if I get things in order first.
