Holy crapola. I was coming back from a round of golf, and we passed a transport truck that was pulled over that had a brand new blue WRX STI on it... holy jesus it was beautiful. I have yet to see one in person until today, maybe it was just an '03 WRX? But it had the tall rally-ish wing on it.

Pictures of this car doesn't do it justice. The blue is amazing, the wing looks terrific, and the wheels were freaking awesome. At least 17", maybe 18"... Dunno, can't say, we were moving pretty fast....

Has anyone else seen one in person? They are beeeee-ooootiful.

 

Sat in one! Oh, and there's a blue one a couple doors down from me. Not sure if it's an STi, but it's an '03 ('04?)

 

i drove one at work. We are one of the firsts to get it. I had to PDI the car and detail it. I had it on the road for like 30 mins and was scared to death. It doesnt come with a radio, that makes it so tough. Its a sick car, very fast, and looks damn good too.

 

I cruised by the dealer yesterday looking for it, but it wasn't there. I might have been going further north to the other dealer. Boy, it was beautiful!

I'm jealous of you guys getting to sit in it, let alone drive it!!!!

 

That is a sweet car. Just read Road & Track and they acually picked tyhe evo over the WRX. I tend to disagree. 300hp to all wheels. I would love to have that car

 

Ya, I was at the Y and they had a C&D comparo between the two. Needless to say I did more reading then working out

The STI was marginally faster on all tests, but they said it understeered pretty bad. The EVO could understeer, oversteer, be nuetral at will, so I guess that's cool.

Kinda makes me mad, because the STI just seems like a much nicer car... I don't like the looks of the EVO, and they said the interior of it was very cheapish.

Oh well, can't win them all I guess.

Oh ya, if anyone is interested, they ripped off a 4.6 0-60 for the STI Bye bye tranny, nice to know you

 

i thought the '04 STI wasnt out till nov. the earliest???

 

If you read why though, it's becasue the STi feels like it doesnt want to be sliding sideways and havingthe **** driven out of it. The 8 feels like it should be. It's very comfortable.
