Secret to unlimited, unrestricted access to automobiles

During the Civic Live event, i postulated a theory to my friend about a plan to gain unrestricted access to all automobiles. We would get first pick and VIP treatment in all the auto shows & events. what plan is this? why, to create our very own automobile editorial publication. Hey, if autoweek and motortrend gets to have its crappy *** tv show and car and driver gets to all their articles for old people, we should be able to write articles and thrash around the latest vehicular machinery. Too bad i know nothing of publications, i know how to send files to the printers (no not the CTRL + P to print a file off your Canon printer at home). Any body have experience being an Editor in Chief of a major publication? Any tips on running your own magazine? heh this idea is almost as half-baked and half-realized as my other half-baked & half-realized ideas!

...perhaps we could create some realistic looking id tags, vip and press passes? does anyone know a cheap embroiderer? we could design an automotive logo and have it embroidered onto polo shirts to look more professional. but that still isnt our own magazine. hmm hmm hmm evil idea brewing...an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about!

I would imagine you would have to have proof of some sort of subscriber base or advertisers in order to get an invitation from the manufacturers for a press junket. Look at how many magazines there are now, both in print and on the 'Net. No one can support having that many people testing cars.

If anyone can somehow figure out a way to make this work though, I offer my services as mechanic or general flunky provided I get to drive the hot rear wheel drive cars!!

well my half-evil idea was to kinda fool them into thinkin we were the real deal. with our polo shirts, and fancy press badges, if they deny us access we can say stuff like "ah yes, readers of 'realistic-goals-for-realistic-cars tuner magazine' are going to enjoy this kind of treatment..." sort of like a ferris bueller move hehe.

HAHAAH yeah ask Ryan! He knows!

I'm still trying to talk him into giving us proteges/3s a small blub spot in RX Tuner magazine!

People that write reviews on the internet are still reporters...just not in the traditonal sense of the word. Maybe there is something to this angle.
