Sega GT - Dreamcast / PC

Did anyone ever play this game? I finished it a couple of times on Dreamcast, and recently on the PC version. I know the game is not as good even as Grand Turismo 2, but I would have to say that it looks better, and I love the Carozzeria! In the PC version there are more cars added, and new bodies too, and even a new championship. And if it was not for Mazda, I would not be that good in that game. When I build my own cars, I always go for the Turbocharged Rotary engine, that kills the competition! Anyhow, just looking for other Sega GT fans out there, and for those who own the X-Box and the new game Sega GT 2002, let me know how it is. Thanks.

I have Sega GT on the PC and the dreamcast. I recently purchased GT for the Xbox. It is a similar game to the PC/DC version, but the graphics are top notch, not to mention all the new cars that are available. It is probably the best racing game on the Xbox at the moment.

Man, don't trade in your DC. They'll give you something like $10 for it. I saw someone trading in a DC with 5 games and 2 controllers, and they got like $20 for it. Just save it for your kids.

I am suprised you were dissapointed by the graphics. But I guess you have to have a computer fast enough. I only have a 16MB Geforce for Video Card, and the game is very smooth and sharp. I even put out better times on the PC then DC, but I guess that has to do with my controller. My Sidewinder (by Microsoft), is great for the game. With digital inputs and, and slightly reprogrammed buttons, I kick major *** in the game.

Gotta agree with you that the PC version is awesome. But the best engine is the NA V-12. Throw that on a light AWD frame and you are flying. I think my best 1/4 time is 8.86 or something like that. I would need to check. I do now thaty I have millions of $$ saved up and multiple colors of every cool car.
A tricked out viper is the best for the 1000m race. Problem with that game is that RWD cars loose all traction on launches, so you gotta go AWD. THat's why I found a suped up Mitsu GTO, or Skyline is far better for racing than a suped up Supra or RX-7.
Darn, now I wanna play that game, but I'm at work

I also have the original sidewinder GamePad...I love it....one of the best gamepads if you ask me

but i don't have it for pc anymore...and it was like 1.5 - 2 years ago since i played it...so i can't remember too well...oh i remember....I couldn't change any of the graphics options to make them better...oh well....the dreamcast version was still nice

But i still love Tokyo Extreme Racer 2 for DC...and I'm gonna go play it
